    Copying a bike key

Locksmiths, not the key cutting kiosks at Canadian Tire or Home Depot, should have the blanks and can cut them. When I lived in the area, Acme Lock and Key at Warden and Lawrence had blanks for the all the bike keys I took there.

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

In May and June, Canada had 456 and 1850 Model 3's delivered. In those same months in the US, they delivered 6250 and 6062. https://www.greencarreports.com/news/1117616_tesla-dominated-electric-car-sales-in-canada-in-june https://insideevs.com/monthly-plug-in-sales-scorecard/

Sudden extreme Eye burn/stinging when riding- Dry Eyes...?

Did you put sunscreen on your face during the day? Moisture from rain and/or sweat can carry it to your eyes and the wind from riding gets it right in, and it will sting.

What bike garners the most street respect?

Like others have said, the respect factor is not a concern, but I think the bikes that would get lots of attention would be the new Husqvarnas: Svartpilen and Vitpilen. I saw the Svartpilen up close recently and that is a COOL bike!

Just got my M1: gear advice please

In the city, Town Moto and Studio Cycle are your best bets. They don't have the kind of selection you'll find at the suburban shops, though. Good thing is their websites will give you enough info to judge if it's worth dropping in to look for gear.

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

I have a feeling the guy thought it was a BEV and when the battery was done, it's done. But, even full electric range of 70km is perfectly usable for a huge number of drivers, especially in cities. Aside from the third party research that has the empirical data, GM's data collection through...

    M2X Intercom

Yes, just good 'ole walkie talkie technology. I don't know of any examining authority, i.e. colleges and private courses, who use bluetooth. At most, they might let you use your own earbud, but those walkie talkies usually use a 2.5mm jack, not the 3.5mm that's standard on all of our usual...

how many bikers are in the GTA total?

219,455 motorcycles and mopeds were registered in Ontario in 2017. There are a bunch of variables, but making some safe assumptions (80% of those registrations are motorcycles; 1/2 of ON's population in GTA; avg bikes owned is 2 <a guess, but good enough assumption for now>), a plausible...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

Two places (I know of) where they're stored: the lot at the International Centre, where they've been doing hundreds of owner handoffs a day; and a lot visible from the 401, between Vic Park and the DVP. Maybe the ones heading down the 400 came off a train at the big railyard at Keele and 7.

    Motorcycle certification

For Canadian Tire, call first to see if they can; it depends on whether or not they have a bike mechanic on duty.

New Riders...Start with a smaller bike!

Watched the doc, "Why We Ride" recently, and this all makes a story from Keith Code stick out. He talked about a long time rider saying to him after taking the course, "I thought I had 26 years of experience; now I realize I have one year of experience 26 times."

Haugen's bike meet **NOT** back up and running for the summer

Re: Haugen's bike meet back up and running for the summer They tweeted in 2017 that 2016 was the last year of bike nights. https://twitter.com/HaugensBBQ/status/880583516324601857

    Stripped bar end bolt

You could also try gently using a hammer to tap in a Torx driver bit that's a little too big to easily fit in that hole. It might get enough bite in the metal to allow you to loosen it.

    AMA about Tesla Model 3

How many Model 3's are being delivered to owners each day at the Lawrence Ave centre? I was curious because I pass the lot used near the 401 to store new Teslas and there have been more and more 3's parked there.
