    Quitting Your Job

I had 15 years with my first company , including a move here from England , but when I found myself unhappy every day then I quit. I had no job to go to but I knew it was not worth my health to stay a day longer. The second I made the decision I felt the weight lift from my shoulders - never...

    Continue......or pack it in?

I have had to sit out most of this summer after a low side that caused a fractured and dislocated pinky finger. needed surgery to reposition it and then 4 weeks with pins in and still another four weeks in cast now that pins are out. Have certainly gone back and forth in terms of riding again...

    Best Cruiser <751cc

Knowing I wanted a cruiser and after seeing that riding schools were using the verago 250 , I decided that would be my first bike. I knew it would only be for my first year and so bought a used one. Granted it was no super powerful bike but could move me around at 80 KMH no problem which was...

Noob getting bored, happened to anyone ?

The routes in the link posted by MacDoc are all excellent. I found most of those roads by trial and error , playing with Google maps, over my first couple of years of riding.

    ESR (Eat Sleep Ride)

I started using it this year to keep track of my routes and re-find places I discovered when just wandering. I just launch it and forget about it until I get back home. Totally ignore the social media side of it

    Almost crash ...

It's not just bikes that cut the corners. The closest I have come to being hit on my bike was at that same junction. I was coming the other way on Hockley and an SUV going south on Airport road turned left across my lane , no attempt at all to turn properly. I think it is just a habit that some...

Any tips for a first timer for Fork of the credit?

It's funny how everyone worries / warns about the hairpin but it is the uphill right hander immediately afterwards that is more of a trouble

    Kevlar Jeans for summer

I found that they all fit so differently that I had to try a number of brands / styles before finding the one I was comfortable in. I bought a pair of Bullitt jeans with Covec on clearance at Royal distributing a couple of years back. Find them very comfortable to ride in

What is the latest i can do my M test in 2017?

Doesn't have to be exactly 18 months. I did my M2 in May and so in theory could have done my M in December but I waited until the spring to do it. Even if they offered it in December I wouldn't want to be doing it in potential subzero temps

Shark Evoline vs. Shoei RF1100 vs other modular under $500

I had my heart set on the Shark but when I tried it on the sunshield felt way too close when slid down- almost rested on my nose. Went for the Shoei Neotec instead- thanks to a lucky lottery ticket. On an un-related note big thank you for your avatar - I always picture that and my riding in...

    Riding alone. Pros and cons.

most of my riding is done solo - nothing over 6 hours so far though. Agree with he points made in the article and follow most of them. Don't have a GPS tracker on my person - can't have the wife knowing how many refreshment stops i make - :)

The Rise in Popularity of the CanAm Spyders?!

took one out last summer at an event at Ontario place. Agree with earlier comment about crazy loud - especially when it downshifts automatically. Also agree about how wife would ride passenger on one of them but not on my bike- not sure that is selling feature though, I kind of like my ME time...
