A lot of people have problems with right turns because of their hand position on the throttle. If you keep your hand in the same position on the throttle when turning as when riding straight your wrist gets twisted which is uncomfortable and doesn't allow you to lean off as much. Try holding the...
If the splines are decent then all you're doing is holding the sprocket in place. Small welds (1/4 round at a time) and cool it in between works fine. It's a temporary fix, if it screws the seal then you're only out the cost of a sprocket in addition to the proper repair. I wouldn't suggest it...
Going by the rust on the output shaft splines the sprocket was loose for some time.
One other thought in addition to Frekyguy's ... given it's an 03 and the shaft is screwed anyway I'd be inclined to weld a new sprocket to the shaft. Not an ideal situation but with the understanding that if the...
The only part of the procedure that hurts is the needle for freezing. Hurt like a bastard when it went in each testicle, the rest or it isn't bad at all.
They tell you not to do any physical activity for a few days afterwards. I had mine done on a Friday afternoon and thought that I was good to...
I'm still dealing with issues from a track accident three years ago. They finally became bad enough that something had to be done. OHIP and benefits from work are what's footing the bill.
I wouldn't dream of suing someone for damage or injury from track related activity. I knew what I was doing...
Fantastic write up.
Just a comment .. the idle mixture is set trying to obtain highest vacuum for each cylinder and then the vacuum readings are balanced. If you have a four cylinder engine carbs 3 and 4 are synched, 1 and 2 are synched and then the groups of carbs (3&4 and 1&2) are synched...
So? That doesn't mean it's good or that the connection is good. Don't assume that because you've spent money on a part that's it's still good. That type of assumption will cloud the logic required for proper disgnosis.
Follow kneedragger's suggestions, he's right on the money ... start with...
That won't help if the plug is carbon tracked. Sandblasting a plug that is works short term. The only long term solution if a plug is misfiring is replacement.
People who live in glass houses should not throw stones ... my point is that anyone can have fault found with them (as pointed out by Macs post). Unless there is a serious issue such as the house or property is dilapidated then people should learn to live at let live. Someone might not like my...
Check the basics first like the battery. That puff of smoke you mentioned makes me think it's more than that. Have a look at the rectifier wiring. Often the rectifier connector will melt causing charging problems and would explain why it died and wouldn't restart.
If one of my neighbours has a problem with my property. Then they need to come and chat with me. I'm a reasonable guy, if someone on my street expressed displeasure at my trailer or some other aspect of my property I would take it seriously and assuming the complaint was legitimate (i.e. your...
Funny, I had the by-law officer stop by yesterday to have a look at my trailer. It's parked in my driveway, newer trailer not stickered commercial or anything. Anyway had a chat with him and it seems that someone who doesn't even live on my street lodged a large number of complaints that they...
Start simple ... check your air filter and intake duct first. Sandpaper from body repair?
If that's not it check the tank vent and the fuel line from the tank like invictus / scary said.
If neither of those pan out you're looking at an involved diagnosis.
