    TD Increase...

Does anyone have an actual agent contact for TD or is it all through their call center ?

    TD Increase...

Posted in another thread about my TDMM vs TD General experience. It's worth it to check TD MM if you have any sort of group/professional discount (even being a university graduate will suffice). My rates dropped 40% with TDMM just now versus my TD General renewal that went unchanged.

TD General vs TD Meloche Monnex rate comparison?

For anyone who finds this or might have similar issues in the future; just to post my resolution: I got a call back from TDMM after consulting their underwriters, provided me with a new quote that was 40% of the original quote they gave me a few days prior. Apparently the initial lady I spoke...

Post up PICS of members bikes?

Very nice; where is this pic from? Guessing Albertaish?

TD General vs TD Meloche Monnex rate comparison?

Looking for anyone who has experience with both companies. I was with TD General last year; after having spoke with both lines and being assured TD General would provide the best rate for my "professional group" (alumni discount). Fast forward to late September; I get a phone call from TD...

The Wynne bag is at it again

Saw the news article on this earlier and thought "oh great insurance is about to get even more expensive" Everything they touch seems to be drastically worse off. Half brained ideas implemented all too quickly while patting themselves on the back walking away from the **** storm they just...

Do you wear full height boots for street riding?

Always, way too much going on in your foot area in terms of bones and finite movement to risk it to crappy shoes. Helmet > Gloves > Boots > Jacket > Pants, in that order of importance personally speaking.

    Fall Colours

Was up in the Muskoka's yesterday. Hunstville area is beautiful, definitely falling past peak, you can see trees starting to diminsh in vibrance and leaves starting to fall. Port Carling/Bala/Bracebridge area is gorgeous, bright, nice mix of colors. Closer to Orilia/Barrie you see it start to...

New to the Bike Scene (Need Help!)

LOL, very nice. 1) Stay away from anything heavily modified or electrical mods, or someone who did everything themselves. I think this is especially true for the starter bike market as most haven't owned a bike before and you'd be buying a guinea pig of a bike. While looking out for bikes...

Mississauga Riders, where do you buy your parts?

This ^^ Take a look for yourself under the tail of the bike. Many of them you can literally get 2 small L brackets from Canadian Tire, spray them black and holes line up for your plate; I did that on my first bike and never had an issue. This bike the original owner used a piece of the OE whale...

Suggestions for getting a tow for a safety?

CAA will tow any 'non-running' bike ;) Gotta watch the CAA drivers, many of them do not have knowledge of strapping a motorcycle. I once had to explain that trapping only the wheels down would not be sufficient for a 80km trip on the highway... Most independant motorcycle towing services...

New Riders...Start with a smaller bike!

Lol I'm dying. Very true. There are guys who start on small bikes and will run head on into a curb, low side multiple times, drop it, you name it they do it with ease on repeat. I wonder how much of the "start on a small bike you will be fine" plays into a false sense of security for new...

New Riders...Start with a smaller bike!

This thread is eye opening. Many riders who seem to be in the same class as the person who uses a drill for the first time and bores a hole through their calf while trying to install an anchor in drywall. There's a certain level of common sense and awareness that just can't be taught at...

Why ebikes need insurance and basic lisencing

In my area, they are a menace, officer friends call them "Prohib Bikes" (prohibited drivers). For every 20 Ebike riders I see on the road, 1 looks to be an upstanding citizen who is probably riding one for the reasons listed here (convenient commute, quick errands, etc); while the other 19 of...

State farm lowered my ins then just raised it

Vinnie from All State posted Feb 2016: Looks like it is a SS specific thing and that is why some run into it, and others don't. I think I remember Matthew telling me this at the time. They will offer a great SS rate, but want your other business.

Fall Riding Gear - Base Layers, etc

Looking for some advice on some simple/slim base layers to extend my riding season into late Oct and enjoy the fall colors. Wanting to stay more on the slim side as they will need to go under my leathers, with room for a long sleeve over top. Previously I've used the Knox Cold Killer fitted...

need a new cell phone - have no idea...

Kwtoxman hit the nail on the head with the bands, only certain phones support them at this time I believe. But at $30/month, if their zones work for your day to day requirements, I'm jealous! For anyone else currently in need of a plan I'll drop this here...

Anyone ever order from Motorcycle Superstore website?

I agree, however some of us are quite a ways away from any decent gear store. Nothing but good things to say about GP Bikes. A trip to GP Bikes for me is several hours each way, last time I ended up with a helmet and jacket from them at their no-tax event. The sales lady Mary Anne was amazing...

GoPro helmet mount - is this illegal?

Hedo2002: I've read the thread previous and don't recall this being answered. If someone was pulled over for an infraction, issued a ticket (say even towed and suspended under HTA 172), would the officer have the right/ability to seize their GoPro/camera footage as their own evidence come...

Anyone ever order from Motorcycle Superstore website?

Keep in mind, prices are in USD As someone mentioned, FortNine, they have a great return policy, $7 return shipping label, no restocking fee. A visit to GP Bikes or other large store is always good to get sizing information, many times they have big sales + save the tax events that are cheaper...
