I've been doing a bit of research and mostly received advice that up until November would be the best time to buy a motorcycle generally speaking. What in your experiences had been the best time to buy a motorcycle?
In order for the time to count towards a better insurance rate in terms of how long you have had the license do you have to have owned and insured a bike?
I.E. if I had an M2 for roughly a year but never insured a bike for that duration does that cancel out the fact that I have been M2 licensed...
So I'm about to embark on a new season and looking forward to using a few sets, for both street and track. So where do you find the best deals on street and track tires in Ontario and anyone a fan of ordering tires from Stateside?
While we're on the subject of tires, I know that the Metzeler...
Looks like the trend is clear. So for those of us who want to save money on insurance and not neuter our track experiences, it's a naked for the street and a dedicated track bike.
On another note, I'm surprised the classifieds bike section is so dry....
You weren't thinking of riding your S1000RR naked were you? You just recovered from that nasty bout of flu, I'd stay away from anything naked if I were you........for now.
But you wouldn't need to spend money on clothes or laundry detergent.
Thanks for all the replies guys.
Can someone shed...
Lets not get ahead of ourselves here, it's good quality but I could tell in 10 seconds that it wasn't as good as the Japanese made bikes in terms of fit and finish.
Right there......I think it'll be a naked 1000 for the street and a superbike for the track.
Yes of course, I wouldn't expect a Z1000 to corner like a ZX10 but yeah that's exactly what I'm going for!
Are naked bikes worth going for compared to their faired counterparts for the insurance difference.
Would an S1000R be that much cheaper to insure for example? Would appreciate any feedback into this matter as I would prefer a faired later bike but wouldn't mind a street fighter or the like for...
Helmet noise is not bad in the X-lite and Nolan 802RRs, not as bad as other racing helmets and not the best. Best thing to do is maybe try using foam earplugs with the helmet that way you get the good ventilation of racing helmets with decent noise levels. The interior is very good quality.
Thanks for the feedback, so there is no need for the course, it's just cheaper to take the tests separately at Drivetest and be done with it.
Now I've gotta find a place that rents bikes for the tests.
Hi, so I was wondering what the fastest way to get an M license would be, I've researched the topic but getting conflicting info.
I already have a foreign license but it doesn't fall under an exchange program so I can get one year's experience for it.
Do I go the Drivetest route, or do I take...
Congrats on the helmet OP, I'm not into modular helmets but that is one elegant design.
It sucks that there is no predetermined standard operating procedure regarding taxes and duties but I guess it's much better than have things lip through without being taxed than have each and every item hit...
