Appreciate the feedback, but why is that? More technical of a track or mastering the sketchy surface makes you better or...?

Who's still riding? (Fall & Winter 2018 Edition)

Re: Who's still riding? (Fall & Winter 2018 Edition) Shorai, I personally don't recommend them but that's what their manual stated.

Who's still riding? (Fall & Winter 2018 Edition)

Re: Who's still riding? (Fall & Winter 2018 Edition) I'd disconnect the terminals and leave it in the bike, lightweight batteries actually tolerate the cold much more than they do heat. Some manufacturers actually say disconnect and store the battery in the fridge.

    Race Plan

So I'm planning on racing next season, but I haven't put down a concrete plan. I'm thinking of joining an organization like SOAR (unaware of any others in the region) and maybe do the Racer5 program or a better one if available and then go out there and see what I can do. All...

Who's still riding? (Fall & Winter 2018 Edition)

Re: Who's still riding? (Fall & Winter 2018 Edition) Couldn't agree more, OEM rubber is the worst. For the record, if you're one of those who start the bike up every few weeks and let it idle in hopes of charging the battery, then you are doing yourself a disservice as well as both your...

    OK This is Getting Ridiculous

No he won't, flat shipping fee of 49.95 and that's with 3 jugs and a filter.......you got my hopes up for nothing.

    OK This is Getting Ridiculous

Actually he makes a valid point. Motul 7100 is labeled 100% synthetic so if that's what you are after then 5100 won't cut it, nor will any other oil labelled fully synthetic instead of 100% synthetic.

HEY! You sold your bike so stay out of it :D

    OK This is Getting Ridiculous

I was at Walmart yesterday and looked at T4,T5,T6. The only one with the JASO MA/M2 rating was the T4. T6 is JASO DH-2 rated, which is a different spec. I'm not saying T6 shouldn't go into your bike, I'm pointing out the spec on the bottles.

    OK This is Getting Ridiculous

Would certainly like to see the source, to determine credibility. What's funny is Rotella T4 is Jaso MA/MA2 rated, T5 and T6 are not. T4 is conventional, however as another poster mentioned above, fully synthetic does not mean 100% synthetic. Big difference, an oil could be 30% synthetic but...

    OK This is Getting Ridiculous

No need to jump to either extreme. It doesn't make sense to rip yourself off by paying for something you think is doing a good job when at the end of the day it is overhyped midgrade oil that you are overpaying for. On the other hand, if you just grab any bottle off the shelf then you are doing...

    OK This is Getting Ridiculous

What I decided on doing is using Motul 7100 or 300V(if racing) when the season starts. I would like to try Amsoil but I find it's more expensive than Motul so no way in hell I'm paying more for it.

    OK This is Getting Ridiculous

But I don't think it lasts as long as the T6. Question is if it makes economical sense where the T6 doesn't outperform it by much.

So you've winterized the bike but......

    ...says the sadist.

Castrol Grand Prix 10w40 Motrocycle Oil - Costco.ca

Since the constant here is the winter weight then I would say snap it up. Won't make much of a difference.
