Oh, I am sure I'll miss acceleration and cornering, but I still want a bike that I can feel - these bikes are already heavy as they are. Most of them do have double calipers in the front. I think VTX 1300 has a single caliper. Damn, all this writing makes me tingle. I really need a demo.
I just sold my F4i and there is only one spot for bike in the garage (the other is taken by strollers).
Looking forward to the upcoming demo days for sure! I think I'll try to go to every single one at Brampton Powersports this year.
Hi all, looking for some first-hand experience on a mid-size cruiser. Looking at ~2004-2008 bike. Will do occasional rides up north to Muskoka, boot around town, ride to work a couple of times a week in a city traffic.
Choices are as follows:
1). Honda VTX 1300 - the only carbureted bike on the...
So has anyone tried bringing a bike over the border recently? How is the process? How much harder is it? Been 4 years for me, so need a refresher. Thanks.
Justin, it's cruiser vs SS. I know that StateFarm does their insurance based on CC, but I didn't know TDMM followed them.
Another weird thing. 07 V-star 1300 came up at $92/mth. 07 V-star 1100 is coming up at $86/mth (all liability only). 04 VTX 1800C is coming up as 93/mth. Weird, now VTX1300S...
I am planning to switch from '06 CBR600 F4i (classified SS by TDMM) to ~'04 VTX 1300 this season.
I am currently paying ~$105/mth for F4i. Got a quote from TDMM for VTX - over $155 a month!!! Checked with Intact - $107. So same rider, same location, same everything. Since when is TDMM charging...
There is a crash video. My condolences to dead pilot's family, and hope the 2nd pilot recovers.
To those who think it's unsafe - guess what, space flight is not a safe venture - very comparable to people complaining that motorcycle riding is dangerous.
Depends how you finance them. Some people mentioned lines of credit. I paid both of my bikes off in less than a year using a credit line. I guess, it cost a couple hundred bikes more, oh well.
One of our own...

5-year-old (well, 6-year-old in 2 months) CBR600 for only $9900. Babied, and no test piOlets.
I am surprised someone here posted this question. CanuckAudioMart is a good place to talk about stuff like this. Or audio karma... or vinylengine forums...
So if the bike cannot go 120, it's not a good bike? Have you ever tried a 125? I good rider will lap you through the corners on that 125. It's a nice light twisty machine (and yes, I have F4i if you wonder).
To the OP, why are you asking on a forum instead of calling the insurance company?
