First time at the Forks today

Maybe I'll try and come by this weekend to chat, that's Sunday mornings right? I DID see a few people fly fishing, that's another thing I've always wanted to try.

Front end feeling vague/almost wash out

Nope, yesterday it was in a big roundabout. It's when I'm going slowish but with a high degree of lean, it'll feel like the front end is about to lose grip. Quite disconcerting. I'm sure it's something simple but I can't for the life of me figure out what. I'll start with tire pressure and see...

Front end feeling vague/almost wash out

No, it's definitely more than that, almost feels like I hit a little patch of oil and lose grip. Ummm, actually, the two times I can recall it for sure happening I was turning left.

Front end feeling vague/almost wash out

A few times I've noticed this with the bike. I get a quick feeling like the front end is going to let go, it's a quick twitch in the bars. It's only happened when I'm not going particularly fast but I'm leaned over quite a bit. Going around a roundabout for instance. My front tire is new last...

First time at the Forks today

Today was the first time I've made it west far enough to ride the Forks, usually from my place I go east but I needed to go to Orangeville so figured I'd use it as an excuse to ride! I can see the appeal of the road but it must get insanely busy! Even a weekday afternoon I managed to get stuck...

Help a noob bleed brakes, please

I went through something similar with my SV. Bought a vac pump and a bleeding kit and THAT.......didn't help. I threw them out and took it to a shop, paid $40 or whatever and got them to bleed my brakes. I can never get all the air out myself and end up angry and frustrated!! Stupid things.

    These E-Bikes stealing the show!

Yeah the gas powered ones I'm pretty sure are a no-no, the electric ones I know are good though. You can buy them in some bike shops.

    These E-Bikes stealing the show!

You can get a kit, you can also buy an electric bike. Some I've seen have a battery pack on the downtube that powers the hub when you need it. My neighbor has one because he's in his 60s bike everywhere, it helps up the hills

    These E-Bikes stealing the show!

I refer to them as "DUI rides". They act like a motorcycle when it suits them and a bicycle when it suits them. I hate the damn things. Electric bicycles however, are fine. They look like a regular bike with a small motor and battery assist. Sometimes you can't even tell it's electric. I feel...

Google machine shops or custom fab shops in your area, places that make custom railings and whatnot should be able to help you out too.

    The 2015 Brewery Tour

I haven't actually! I'm getting married at the end of the month and it seems to have sucked up all my spare time this summer since we're doing a lot of DIY stuff trying to keep cost down... It hasn't worked. Hahaha. I haven't done as much riding as I'd like. Glad to hear someone is keeping the...
