Ask me anything about Real Estate

What are the steps to become a Real Estate agent? How long does it take, do I need a sponsoring firm? Can I do the job part-time, and does it make financial sense to get a license to sell 2-3 homes a year (i.e. for the family)?

Don't have an answer for the situation as I don't fully understand what happened. One of the comments made by my Examiner/Instructor when I did my exit course was "Don't Ride like you normally do on the street, ride like you're being examined". Basically you should follow what is expected of...

If you're talking about an intersection where you are clear to go through (green light, no pedestrians, etc) then no, I don't believe you have to flash the brake lights. Make sure you are moving your head to watch for traffic that could be coming through (and across).

    Brake Light Modulators

For those electronically minded here are instructions on building your own. http://www.uoguelph.ca/~antoon/circ/flashing3.html Has anyone seen a brake light flasher that also encompasses a speed (de-acceleromater) that flashes the brakes faster based on how quick you slow down? P.S. I've...

Re: Left Turn and Rider Position Questions. 1. You should come out into the intersection in the similar position as a car would. Don't know if it is frowned upon if you stay back (unless another car is already in intersection then only one vehicle per intersection turn is fine). 2. The...

That's suprising. If anyone knows this situation we may need further clarification by an examiner/instructor. I was told explicitly when asked to stop to only stop where it is safe and legal to do so, the instructor mentioned to keep an eye out for no stopping signs or fire hydrants. I guess...

Yes, you're not suppose to shift gears in an intersection. I suspect the reason for this is for safety; - can cause you to weight transfer and loose control in the middle of the intersection. - may not go into gear and you will stop in the middle of the intersection. - other reasons.

Re: Stopping You're talking about the emergency stop part of the test? If so yes. I was told the most common mistake during this portion is people forgetting to put the stand down. The tester will ask you to make an emergency stop at any point (except highway I believe) of the test. The...

Good question. If I remember correctly they mark you a X for each error you make, starting with box 1. If you make the same error again you get another X next to it (box 2) and so on until you fill up all 4 boxes. Then they stop marking that mistake (although I suspect they can mark other...

You should always be in gear so you can evade any traffic that comes from behind. As for the left foot coming down, I did not mean that only your left can come down. You bring it down first to show that you are also using your rear brake but once the bike has come to a complete stop you can...

Good question, I thought we answered that one. If I remember correctly (from the test) in Newmarket they had this exact situation. The road was a little wide but only one lane going in each direction. You are suppose to move from the left track (blocking position) over to the right track and...

If your bike's turn signals are visible and functional then you do not need to use hand signals. Hand signals are only needed if your turn signals indicators are broken, missing or poorly visible. Use of signals is upto the discretion of the instructor/examiner.

    Civic vs. 600

Actually, Untouchable is not Matt. I believe GSRMatt may have sold off or parted his Civic. It is a fast car and if he can get it to hook it will give most average ridden 600's a run for the money. He was on this forum with an R6 but I also think he sold for an R1 now. Jay, if you're still...

    Civic vs. 600

Sorry if posting this late, just got online. I know UNTCHBLE and his white civic hatch. I actually raced him last year with my convertible. Unless he spent big money upgrading over the last few months he cannot beat any decently ridden 600 sport bike. I would place his car into the mid-low...

Depends on where the test is done. I had integrated tail lights and shorty stalk fronts on my bike and the examiner was okay with the mods since they could see my signals. As long as the turn signals are noticeable you should be okay. Of course some examiners may not accept them and then you...
