Keep receipt if you get one and pay with a credit card, that way you can get proof from the bank. If you got a tank bag and can tuck it visible on top but not too obvious.

I picked up my bike on Vancouver Island, I don't believe I disputed it's long distance ability. Touring is generally different crowd than street racing crowd. Myself I don't even care so much for group rides to begin with, so I could care less what type of rides are out there.

I got those too on my bike, minus the actual top case. But that's the only option for luggage with brackets. It's pretty useless attaching side bags without. Personally I don't even care for group rides, just saying they might be all kinds of group rides.

I think it depends on the kind of riding you want to do. If you plan on group rides with 1000cc bikes or 2up, it is probably not it. It's also not the best designed long distance touring bike, and there's limitation on the luggage front, but I've done 2 long distance trips on the stock seat so...
