    I Saw You: V.2.0

This morning, westbound 409 You: Cafe style racer with bar end mirrors Me: Black EX-650r I followed you for a bit before we diverged at the airport/427 split. I never swung around to take a look at the bike but it looked hot from behind. Nice ride!

'06-'08 Gen Ninja 650R. Anything outdated about it?

The displacement value is not the only criteria to look at when determining how much power a bike can output. For reference, a GSXR600, a ZX-6R and a YZF-R6 all put over 100hp. These are all ~600cc engines. These are the bikes you should avoid if you are a beginner. By comparison the engine on...

victim of Road Rage, hit and run by a coworker, how should I handle this?

I find it interesting that your life was put in danger by these guys and you only see it as a company issue. The company probably won't risk a lawsuit based on your word vs theirs, the only way to demonstrate concrete evidence is through legal (police) means. This is a crazy passive attitude...

3 days and still no safety

The part about him being a new rider rings so true. Whether they're busy or not, the way they talked to him would guarantee (in my case) that they lost a customer for life.

    2012 Kawasaki Ninja 650

On paper they only have about 12-15 hp difference and a 20 Nm max difference - was your experience really that astonishing? Is your current bike in good condition? I've had my '06 650r for just under a year and love the thing but have definitely gotten used to the power it puts out. I'm no...

    Close call this morning.

Cabbies and private car drivers are my biggest red flag when I'm on the road and highway. I had one ******* in an airport car come screaming down the 427 southbound on my left and only last minute did he decide he needed to merge right (my lane) in order to make the airport turn off. He came...

Squeezing by on the right - is it legal?

I can't honestly believe they were convicted for stunting for simply turning right when there wasn't a clear demarcation for multiple lanes. If stunting was issued, there was something else at play. Do you have a reference for this? Surely there's a public court record.

WTF Honda Dealer...honestly a joke. Can someone on a CBR 250 come to my work so a fem

You can make it to Brampton in 30 minutes over lunch. So one, two hours tops during a weekday for a complete round trip and sitting/question time. Take two or three hours off and do it properly. Isn't a bike purchase worth at least that much prep? Life exists outside of the downtown bubble.

Squeezing by on the right - is it legal?

Cars do this already, who cares if bikes are doing it. I highly doubt you'll get any tickets.

    Innerwear under leather suit

I picked up some stuff from Walmart on Saturday, and tested it out on Sunday under a full leather one piece. I was in it for upwards of five hours. It worked incredibly well. For pants I got the Athletic Works long underwear ($14). For the top I have Everlast long sleeve compression shirt ($20).

Who has the best selection of metric bolts???

McMaster Carr has everything, but they're American and their shipping is super expensive. Also you have to buy in bulk.

Careful with Pete's, a friend ordered tires and specifically asked if they were new. He got one tire that (while unused) was a few years old.

    Motorcycle Shops

Sid at Kahuna has always been pretty awesome helping me out. I've also had some good experiences at Riders Choice, but I've always gone in for that one. But then again I love going into the stores.

Centennial College Course - Not Worth It

It's far easier on the bike, in my opinion, since you have direct control over brakes and throttle simultaneously, unlike a car. The first time I came to a hill I nearly **** my pants, but proper riding position eliminated all my fear.

    Bad gas mileage

My biggest mistake in my first season of riding was putting the gas nozzle all the way into the tank when filling up. What this does is activate the automatic shut-off at the pump long before you've actually topped off your gas tank. Due to the nature of motorcycle tank designs you can put the...

On-coming car in your lane, what do you do?

This happened to me just last week. I pulled out of my work parking lot onto a street with a solid yellow line. It's an industrial area with a lot of transport trucks and this particular section has a curve. I saw a truck far enough away (but approaching) and made my turn. What I didn't see...

Any recommendations for a place to get a key cut?

I also had mine cut at Reilly's on Caledonia. They had to order the blanks but once they came in the process was quick. Got three done for about $12.
