    I Saw You: V.2.0

****wad squid on eastbound Gardiner around 7:45pm, silver bike, no gear, shady speeds, nearly rear ended two SUVs splitting them at 160+. You had a female passenger. I hope she dumps your *** before you get her killed. **** you assface, you give us all a bad name.

Long Term Parking in Downtown Toronto

There's nowhere in Toronto where that's legal, even if there are no "no parking" signs. That maximum street parking time allowed is 3 hours, and though it may not be enforced, you shouldn't be surprised if you wake up to a ticket (or worse).

You sure it wasn't a CBR or something like a ninja 650? By design one of the two headlights is off when not using the high beams.

Toronto Bike Store Services = crap

What kind of services are you looking for? The chain came off my bike last summer and I took it in to Cycle Werx. Price was fair, time for repair was about two weeks while we waited for the parts to come in (sprocket, bolts, chain). Overall pretty good, and Noy and Anthony were helpful and...

    Any good deals on helmets?

Same as the AGV Diesel Full-Jack line, except I like the Diesel styling way better. Revzilla for the win (I get mine shipped to CBI). Plus the carrying case/bag is ****ing sweet.

    Honda demo ride crash

From my limited experience this is the case. You're riding down city streets and you're in a relatively tight pack; not a lot of opportunity to see what the bikes can really do. Still, if you're patient, space yourself out from the rider in front, and give yourself ample room on wider turns you...

    I Saw You: V.2.0

Spotted some dude with Testastretta's, a red/white Bell helmet and a red CBR yesterday yelling at a cabbie at Queen/Bathurst, off the bike and everything. What did that ******* do?

    m2 exit ear piece

Just had my test on Friday, Drive Test Brampton. The earpiece is ridiculously uncomfortable. It's really tight on the ear. No chance of it falling out, no need for tape. Quality was ok, it was loud enough, but scratchy. Worst part was understanding the examiner's accent at times. *shrug* No big...

Things you wished a motorcycle course taught

Cornering and body position. Leaning your body properly and not against the bike, staying light on the bars, hugging the bike with your legs. After watching Twist of the Wrist my entire riding experience changed, for the better. I was immediately more confident on the bike to a degree that was...

    Stripped axle and castle nut

If I was riding around on a stripped axle and castle nut, what could I expect to happen to my rear tire? I took in my bike to kahuna for new tires. This should have been a one day job. Midway through the day I'm informed that my axle and nut are stripped. The bike was fine prior to that. I had...

What's with the weather forecast? :(

We broke all kinds of records for temperature last year, you can't expect that to be typical. Monthly historic averages are between 4-5ºC http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toronto#Climate

    I Saw You: V.2.0

To the dude who stopped on the Eastbound Gardiner yesterday around 4:30 to help out a fellow biker just before Lakeshore - you're fantastic. I pulled over because I had strapped my gloves on in a rush and part of the plastic fastener was digging into my wrist. I was just re-adjusting. When I...

    recommendations for reasonably priced locksmith?

Don't park at Yorkdale - it's a waste of time. There are plenty of free options for you in the area. There's an awesome Jamaican shop on the corner of Bathurst and St. Clair, called Albert's Real Jamaican Food. There is parking there so I recommend going there for an awesome meal (the jerk...

Need some input from 650r owners...gas mileage?

I tracked my consumption this season for my 2006 650R. I get between 200 and 250km before the fuel warning indicator comes on. For the first two months or so I did really poorly. I think it had to do with my riding style where I kept it at higher RPMs. Obviously not good for fuel economy. I was...

Possible poll?: Road with the worst drivers.

Definitely Brampton. Cars move quickly and get right up behind you, especially when making turns. I saw one guy talking on his cell phone (pinched in between his ear and shoulder), adjusting a GPS unit and changing lanes without signalling all at once. Bravo *******. Bravo.
