There are a million engineering solutions to this problem. Many don't involved backing up traffic for 10s KMs. Its just lazy engineering.
Also that would explain 1 lane closed only. Not the second middle lane which has old pavement.
Sorry still not convinced this is anything but laziness...
It looks like they were refinishing the surface. It looks like most of the work was done. The middle lane has those metal covers they use, not sure why that perfectly drivable lane was closed. I looked under the loader as well. Pavement was gone, but there wasn't a giant hole or anything, but...
There were no workers present at the time.
The city should ABSOLUTELY pay for this. Think of the literally $1000s ($10,000's???) in gas wasted by thousands of idling motorists. Not to mention to lost time. Oh and the emissions if you care about hippy stuff like that. Moving that gear would...
It's already difficult enough living and driving in the city of Toronto without having to deal with utter incompetence. I think most of the congestion problems in the city could be easily corrected with a little forethought. After spending nearly an hour on the Gardiner traveling from the Jarvis...
So I was convicted recently of a red light violation without receiving proper notice of trial. I plan to reopen it for trial.
I emailed the Markham court house and asked them to reopen it. I get this email back from the court.
"To request a reopening you have to attend at the Toronto East...
Its actually at UofT, just doing some stuff on Rye Campus. I'm doing industrial engineering with focus in human factors. Did a comsci bachelor and business masters at Rye though.
Hey
I'm running some studies as part of my PhD at Ryerson University.
I need some human participants. Its a fun little study and pays $10 and takes no more than 45mins. If anyone is near College and Gerrard at the moment I could use your participation.
Thanks!
Carmen
Stolen tools: bring yourself, or some kind of equipment cage where things are checked out
Insurance: could be the deal breaker.
fluid disposal: you could provide for that, i'm sure people would do something more responsible at a garage then they would in their own home where they might not have...
Hi
Any shadow owners should check out the 3 yellow wires coming from their stator going to the regulator / rectifier to make sure they are in good state. The couplers on mine had completely melted and that left me on the side of the road . . . not fun.
I did my own repair and blogged about...
