    Master link clip (chain)

Yep, new master link - but I broke the clip (didn't have the plate pressed on far enough, so it didn't seat properly in the groove). Anyways, got the new masterlink last night and go it on properly and safely. Riding in this morning with the new sprocket was a deeelight!

    Master link clip (chain)

Well, if you have one that you happen to be sure it is from a DID 525 ORing chain, I'd gladly pay you $5 for it... LOL. Just out of curiosity, how do you end up with spares? (Assuming each master link comes with one only... and you've used the master links...?)

    Master link clip (chain)

If I needed the whole master link, I wouldn't be moaning. The $10 is not the issue - it's like having to buy a big mac combo when you just want a small fries. Fair enough - I figured that all 525 O-Ring chains would use the same sized clip. Looks like I'll be buying the whole link tonight...

Anyone wanna help me trailer my bike for $80

I was just going to say that for $80 I'd walk it 2km.

    Master link clip (chain)

That's kind of what I figured, but was hoping someone would tell me about a bin of them at some hardware store for $0.25 each. They're $10 at the local bike shop - do you know of anywhere cheaper? (I don't have a problem paying $10 if I needed the whole master link, but all I need is just that...

    Master link clip (chain)

Does anyone know if just the clip for a master link can be bought anywhere? I just put a smaller sprocket on my bike, and had to shorten the chain. Long story short, I broke the little clip that holds the master link on, and I don't want to buy another $10 master link just for the clip. Thanks...

The Sikhs are at it again: fighting helmet laws.

This is what makes me crazy! If there cost and risk are so 'marginal' then why should the rest of us be forced to wear a helmet? If one's religion is a good enough reason to make an exemption to a law, then the law has little enough justification to exist, that it should be struck down all...

    Tubeless tires with tubes?

Thanks. I can get tubeless tires for about $50 less than tube-type tires. Why is the speed rating affected?

    Tubeless tires with tubes?

My wheels have spokes, and therefore I need innertubes. But can I use a tubless tire with an innertube? What's the actual difference between tube-type and tubeless tires? (Tube, tube... say it enough times and it stops sounding like a real word.)

    Honda reliability

My 2000 Shadow 750 ACE is a couple hundred km from hitting 100K. (I bought it with 65k three yrs ago). I'll be changing the rear sprocket this weekend, but other than that and regular consumables (brake pads, oil, air filter, tires, etc) it has been trouble-free.

    Anyone here been to Amsterdam??

I was there ~10yrs ago. It was the best week of my life that I don't remember. Make sure you memorize how to get to your hotel from the train station. (All roads lead back to the train station - so if you get lost, just pick a direction and walk until you get to the station, then you should...

    48÷2(9+3)

So then is (1+2)2 equal to 5 or 9? Is the special treatment of numerals outside the parenthesis limited to multplication only? Can you express the Pythagorean Theorum as "hypotenuse=(x+y)2"?

The Sikhs are at it again: fighting helmet laws.

This right here is my fundamental disagreement with this situation. Our laws should not discriminate based on religion. They should also not reverse discrimnate. If it is deemed that helmet laws interfere with religious freedom (and I do believe there is a very compelling argument that they...

    48÷2(9+3)

The way I got taught was BE(DM)(AS). B - brackets (or parenthesis) - you resolve what is inside them, not what's touching them. E - exponents (DM) - division and multiplication get equal treatment, resolved from left to right. (AS) - same goes for addition and subtraction. As far as I was...

    48÷2(9+3)

Would it be crazy to suggest that there is more than one accepted convention? And that the correct answer changes, depending on the convention you are using? As long as you are consistent, and the question is phrased according to the convention being used to solve it, it really should not be...

Parking and courtesy to other drivers?

This drives me nuts. I actually had to twist the mirror stem on someone's bike once just to get my bike off the stand without causing dammage. Another time, a guy parked his bike beside mine, but backwards (front tire to the curb), so that his mirror was resting against my topcase/trunk...

    48÷2(9+3)

    Why do so many people have a problem working from left to right? The question is completely clear: 48÷2(9+3) = 48 ÷ 2 * 12 = 24 * 12 = 288 If you INCORRECTLY work right to left instead you get: 48÷2(9+3) = 48 ÷ 2 * 12 = 48 ÷ 24 = 2 EDIT: to get an answer of two, the expression should be...
