Was that on a bike? When I drove to NS in the car, this is close to what we did as well. GTA to Moncton all in Canada in about 16 or 18 hours. It was a long day. Wouldn't be fun at all on the bike.
I'm also planning a trip to the East Coast this year. We are going to leave from GTA, head through Albany to Boston, then up the coast to New Brunswick, into Nova Scotia/Cape Breton and then onwards (and eventually home) from there. Here are some of the routes that I'm considering.
Hwy 2 from...
Thanks for the suggestions! I ended up choosing Hyner Run over Worlds End because of it's location. It's closer to the area that we want to ride in but Worlds End does look like a nice spot.
I'm planning a ride to PA for the May timeframe. I'd like a campground that has good tent camping with some privacy. I don't want to be bumping elbows with RVers if I can help it. Showers would be very nice to have too. Ideally the campground will be in the Sproul Forest to State College area...
The last time I had my bike in to GP for service (Dec-Jan), I dropped it off filthy and it came back looking like new again. As has been said, I think there's good and bad everywhere. Personally, I've had a really great experience buying and getting service from GP.
Hopefully all of this will...
I would like to buy this teapot but before I do, I'd really like to know what the symbols actually mean. I've seen a pot like this in different places. Some say the symbols are the four seasons and some say it means happiness. When I look up the symbols for these words, none of them look like...
If you're unsure of how to do any of this work yourself, then take your bike to Frekeyguy (the first responder to this thread). His knowledge and skills are top-notch. He has had tonnes of glowing reviews on this site and I and my friends have used him several times.
Don't get me wrong! The S1000R felt like an amazing machine. The power was incredible. The handling was great and it felt really planted. It just felt like the engine was too smooth. It felt like the bike lacked character. I'm used to an SV650 which is a v-twin. While I've never considered it to...
I've had the same experience with my SV650 and throttle locks. I want to do long distance touring and a throttle lock, to me at least, just won't cut it. Having real cruise control would be very nice.
I'm also going to look at the BMW S1000XR but I haven't seen the price on it yet. I have a...
I just heard about Yamaha's new touring bike - the FJ-09. I think it looks pretty good, and as far it sounds on paper, I think this could be a real winner. My only complaint so far is the lack of cruise control. I think this is a big omission in this segment. They've made the bike ride-by-wire...
Think of the February show as the Auto Show for motorcycles. All new bikes from all of the manufacturers. Very little gear.
The next show, the Spring Show, on March 21 and 22 is the next show for gear. Sadly, the deals aren't as good as they have been in the past.
I have a few questions about this. I'm trying to wrap my head around the full effects of having a car covered in oil.
I've heard that the car will drip for a while after being sprayed. In your experience, how long does this happen for and will it stain a sealed driveway?
How does the oil...
