Your home is not your castle

Can you really say the house is yours if you can't even reasonably protect your own family? Fail Durham. If this is really aimed at curbing gang activity of grow ops, why not get down to the root of the problem: their revenue stream! Legalize weed, make it cheaper and taxable.

    Woman killed by Wheel

Terrible, terrible accident at the worst possible time for that family. I don't think forcing trucks to use the 407 at no charge would change the issue, but at least they'd be away from people just trying to get to work on the rest of the 400 series highways. Life can be unfair sometimes.

has anyone made it out to the 2012 motorcycle show?

Even if ABS comes standard? Fair enough I suppose. I couldn't get a duc or else I'd be obsessing about keeping it pristine. If and when I do pick up a gladdy and mod the heck out of it, who knows...might even change some minds around here. Cheers to riding slow bikes FAST ;)

has anyone made it out to the 2012 motorcycle show?

Yeah I found the rear too soft back when I demo'd it. Maybe it just needed an adjustment.....or a gsxr 600/750 rear shock upgrade which is getting praise from owners on the sv riders forum.

has anyone made it out to the 2012 motorcycle show?

I recommend giving the suzuki gladius a test spin when you can, it's great for what it is, don't let the old marketing fool you. That's the bike I'm looking to pick up next season; power I can use, comfort I need, price I can all around afford. I didn't like the fit and finish, but then again I...

    Sv650

I was getting quoted something like 1200ish for a suzuki gladius (sv650 basically) through Jevco, and I live downtown (2 tickets, 25, G license 5+ years). Getting rid of the f4i for an SV/Gladius mainly because I'm using half the power on the cbr and my lower back is killing me most days that...

My bike insurance is so cheap.

Good roads up there for sure. I live and work downtown, plus finishing my degree at ryerson. Had an opportunity to intern near Barrie over the summer but decided not to. If I had a job out there, I wouldn't mind moving out of the gta. Riders plus wouldn't take me since I didn't do a motorcycle...

    2007 Ducati S4RS - Buy or not?

Go for it. My buddy loves his SR2. I'm sure maintenance will be a little pricier on parts, but that's the brand for you.

More free tickets to this weekends Toronto Motorcycle Show!

I like it. I'm looking at something more practical/comfortable for next season. Probably going to settle with a gladius or naked sv650.

My bike insurance is so cheap.

Ahhh the insurance joys of not living in Toronto. I need to find a job and place to live not in the GTA to get some these rates.

    lane splitting and cagers honking

I'll lane split when traffic is at stand still, only in 1st gear at <10kph, and sometimes in a bicyclists lane. It's rare I do it anyway.

    Ninja 650 or Ninja ZX-6R

FTFY Yeah, people can say whatever but an SS on the street shames the bike since you'll never use all that power save for a few spots in the boonies (if you're lucky). Trading my ss next season, this being one of the reasons.

    Winter Riding Motorcycle harassment

Why not compromise and get a snow mobile?

    Ninja 650 or Ninja ZX-6R

It's all subjective. A zx-6r will be comfortable for some and a torture rack for the majority of others. You won't know until you ride either bike for a couple of hours.

Manifesto - We, the Motorcycles, Are Here to Save Toronto

    1. Why should anyone that doesn't associate with Toronto or the GTA care about this? 2. Motorcyclists are the 1%, the 99% sure as hell isn't going to subsidize most of those demands 3. Gridlock in Toronto will only stop when everyone moves back into the city to justify public transportation...
