Yeah I found the rear too soft back when I demo'd it. Maybe it just needed an adjustment.....or a gsxr 600/750 rear shock upgrade which is getting praise from owners on the sv riders forum.

Go for it. My buddy loves his SR2. I'm sure maintenance will be a little pricier on parts, but that's the brand for you.

It's all subjective. A zx-6r will be comfortable for some and a torture rack for the majority of others. You won't know until you ride either bike for a couple of hours.
