Another Rookie racer here along with Newman and ATTS. Felt good about Round 1. Lots learned and lots to learn. Never actually "launched" a street bike before so will continue to work on that and gain more confidence in deeper braking and corner speed. Have to get out and find that shop that...
I went into Motorcycle Superstore last summer looking for Plastex and he talked me into this stuff... http://www.ipone.fr/EN/sprays,products-31... spray on, wait a few seconds, then buff out with a microfiber cloth. Took the swirls out of my windscreen and even used it on my paint with great...
Fresh RBF 660 (Surprised how dark it is compared to Motul 5.1) for the race bike. While I had the fluid and tools out, I did the street bike and the neighbor's as well. 660 on a casually ridden FZ1 a bit overkill for the street? ;)

Constant monitoring of your mirrors and awareness of your surroundings is key. A quick, short shoulder check is all that is needed. If you find yourself having to turn your whole head and body, you're leaving yourself open to too much change in front of you. (ie. braking/swerving vehicle, change...
Almost ready. Just brake guard and shark fin, suspension dialed in and mental prep :). Now just waiting on nice weather to get out and get a feel for this thing before Round 1!!
