Long Distance Riding - Seat Comfort Suggestions?

Which points? I ride 7-800 km a day and all I have to do is move around in the seat from time to time. At stops I clench a little to move the blood around. You must have a very bad seat.

Spring Micro-trip - South East Coast USA.

So this trip is complete! I will only post a few pictures though, as I didn't take many. I know many of you are in the search for twisties, but this wasn't the trip for that. I had some great food along the way, and (even though many of you hate this) some wonderfully serene moments of cruising...

Spring Micro-trip - South East Coast USA.

I'm almost home now, so I will answer your question. On the way down I did take the W VA turnpike which cost me $6. The Chesapeake BB was indeed $12. Out of Dover, DE I used a chunk of State Hwy 1 for $2, but it could have been $4 if I'd stayed on it. I crossed the Delaware memorial bridge...

    Ohio 555

This road is on my way to Myrtle Beach! I am going to take it from Zanesville to Ringold, but then my path is a little more easterly. I hope it's not as filthy as has been said

Spring Micro-trip - South East Coast USA.

How'd you know that? Nah really I have family to visit in Sarnia first - don't see going all the way back to Buffalo on day 1.

Spring Micro-trip - South East Coast USA.

I'm planning to do the following little circle for a week in May: Crossing at Sarnia, down thru the nasty Detroit/Toledo area, cruising down to WV and on to Myrtle Beach. Stopping there for a couple of days of (what I hope to be) reasonably warm days on which to unwind on the beach with a deck...

    Lake Superior trip

Did this last year, and I wasn't pushing it at all and had it done in 7 days, with quite a lot of stopping for pics. From TO though I'm sure you have further to go. From London you just head up to the Sault thru Michigan. North Shore in Canada was much more interesting, but also quite a bit...

    The Motorcycle Wave...Are there rules?

I only wave to riders that support "What kind of oil to use?" threads. And even then, I'm sure I'm getting it wrong.

I don't want to live in this province (country?) anymore.....

What? This is a business generating revenue, employing people, bringing in tourists and helping the local economy. That's completely against government policy. It seems like no one is being screwed here, so it must go.

    Are you.... Stupid...? Hand signal

In a similar vein, I was thinking you could torture her by making her actually EAT the Big Mac.

    Shift retailers in the GTA?

This store, online at auroraactionsports.ca seems to be having a clearance sale right now. I picked up a new leather jacket, gloves, shoes and a tee all for $172. The tee wasn't leather.

    Crossing The Border

Re: Crossing The Boarder I didn't know that about Whirlpool as I am usually travelling with someone else (non-Nexus) when crossing to NY. It looks like you have to load up your Nexus card like a gift card to pay the tolls? Is that true?

    Got Touring Plans for 2012?

Last year a couple of us went on the last week of June (Wed-Thu) and ran the Dragon twice. We caught up to one guy the whole time (who moved over) and weren't passed by anyone, and we were not going fast at all

I've been spending time window (web) shopping on some online gear stores. Thinking about leather makes me anxious for riding weather!

    Got Touring Plans for 2012?

Yeah I figured on $6,000 including the flight, which is about $1,100 out of Pearson - but I will probably squirrel away an extra 500 Euros for "whatever". Doubt there will be much souveniering though - luggage space at a premium of course. Usually when I go stateside I have enough room to bring...

    Got Touring Plans for 2012?

I've been saving up all my pennies, and I think I'm ready to take the plunge in Europe! Namely this (before the world ends in December  ): https://www.edelweissbike.com/en/allTours/true/cont/eur/best-of-europe.html Even though that's going to cost me most of my travel funds for 2012, I...
