eBay sellers can place restrictions on selling area.
Some sellers see messages from outside of their selling area and just ignore it. They just don't want to bother explaining why they don't want to sell internationally or overseas, especially having to do so in another language. Sometimes the...
My buddy likes to show off his frequent flyer status.
When we fly together, he makes a big show about heading off to the lounge while us plebes wait in Gen Pop. He boards early and waves goodbye to us.
We were checking in our bags and because of his frequent flyer status he gets a priority...
It's pretty invasive.
My buddy and I went to a Honda dealership one day to look at CRF450Ls.
He has location services turned on, so no surprise when he started getting Honda ads after the visit. But why were the ads about CRF450Ls, of all Honda models to show him?!?!
Facebook is creepy.
The championship race is tight this year and Toprak's dominance is not looking assured at all.
Those two mechanicals are going to be quite costly at the end of the season when all the points are tallied.
Installed some stickers on my bikes so I can go faster...
My MX boots were scuffing the swingarm on my GS, so got a thick rubber pad for the heel of my boot to rest on. Carbon-fibre looking for extra bling! 😁
Put some Snakeskin grip pads underneath the tank of the Hyper for better grip...
A couple of travel tips:
- The more connections you have, the greater the opportunity for your bags to get lost or delayed. Direct flights and arriving early to check in bags gives me a little more confidence (but not 100%) that my bags will also be there at the same time and place as me...
It's a second or third bike in the garage, very much like the Ducati Hypermotard -- which also gets 175 kms to the fuel light...
Nobody wants a limited-range bike like that as a primary, and most people can't afford a second or third moto in the garage, so it was always going to have limited...
We've had luggage lost or delayed quite often.
We've learned that if there's something you need for the ride, make sure you take it on the plane with you as carry-on. Wear the gear if you have to. This is stuff that is expensive and/or a hassle to replace at your destination.
We've boarded the...
If HD pricing were sane, which model would you buy?
Personally, outside of the Pan Am, zero motorcycles on the HD showroom floor interest me. And the PA is priced similarly to most premium heavy-weight ADVs out there, like the GS, so it's not that far out of the ballpark.
I'd like to think...
All the neck rolls on all the Schuberths I've owned seem pretty snug. As for the chin spoiler, it's the fabric underneath the chin that is velcroed on.
Doesn't seem like it would make a big difference, but it did for me.
YMMV.
A lot of newer Harleys have quite good tech in them, the Pan Am and VRod were easily best-of-class. It's the price point and toxic culture that did those models in.
As for branding, it can work both ways. Don't call it a Harley, but everyone knows that it's HD money backing R+D, so it's not a...
Or go the way that Suzuki, Kawasaki, Royal Enfield, CFMOTO, etc have gone by selling through multi-line channels.
Then you've got to really make sure the new bikes will compete in price and performance if they're sitting right next to other models of other brands. But that should go without...
Whohooo!!! I brought beer!
The main problem is that the core of their identity and sales is tied to big, heavy, old-technology and vintage design, exactly the opposite of what is actually selling in the marketplace.
They've cultivated this image for so long, turning it into a selling feature...
I've owned three Schuberth modulars over the years and the secret sauce to their claims about helmet noise reduction is the neck roll + chin spoiler.
However, all this wind protection cuts off significant airflow inside the helmet and personally, I found the buildup of exhaled co2 a bit stuffy...
