I use Turtle Wax bug and tar remover. It's designed for use on painted surfaces. I just spray some on a towel and it easily comes off. No worry about over spray anywhere where you don't want it. E.g. on the tire itself. No need for any products after.
I'm curious as to why there is a need for this ceramic coat? Based on the above, the amount of effort to wash the bike is same as if you didn't do anything to the paint. Plus I always thought HD had one of the best paint quality control out there. My personal opinion I wouldn't screw around...
I'm not so sure Lorenzo back on a Ducati. Especially a satellite team , even if it's a factory bike is a good idea. It will take him another 1-2 years to get adjusted again. Plus the Ducati seems to be less competitive this year as compared to when JLO was on the factory bike. JLO is also going...
Unfortunately for me MOTOGP is starting to become like F1 . Races are predictable and stale. Very few passes or back and forth position changes. It seems once Marc gets in front everyone else is just happy staying where they are. Heck the qualyfiying is more exciting.
As much as I am not a...
The one option I use is do a light tap down from 2nd gear. This works most of the time. So for example, if you are at stop condition and you tried a light tap from 1st trying to get into neutral. You would now be in 2nd. Instead of a hard tap going back down to first. Just do a light down tap...
I wasn't fully understanding the scenario 're OP was referring to. I don't understand why the owner didn't bring the bike in when the recall was issued. If there was an official recall the registered owner would have received a letter. Unless this is a new owner that Ducati doesnt have on file...
This is so true. At first I was annoyed that I had a few recalls to deal with. But then I realized this may be a positive. At least Ducati stepped up and took responsibility for a defect and fixed it in a timely manor.
I'm not mechanically inclined enough to prove you wrong. But having said that, I would bet that that type of service, intervals and costs for those two models would be very close. And as mentioned by another poster. Anyone who can afford either of those two models most like couldn't care less on...
The typical service costs for my Ducati so far are no more then a typical Japanese bike. Not sure if alot of these comparisons are being made on older Ducati bikes. But from my understanding is that Ducati have been changing ever since the VW Group purchased the company. The reliability...
Well I do know that on my Ducati 939 Supersport the Desmo service is at 30,000 km S. Which I think is reasonable. So far the bike has been reliable. There have been a few recalls all handled by the Dealer with no issues on parts supply etc. My previous bikes were Kawisakis and were extremely...
There is a place in Oshawa called REGEAR that will buy used motorcycle gear off you. They don't give you much for it cause they also have to resell it and make a small profit. But at least if the gear is in good condition it wouldn't go to waste. If that is your main concern. Plus REGEAR is a...
Agreed with your last point.
The problem now is with these laws coming in and the politically correct reasons behind them.We may end up with enforcement that doesn't take into account the type of rider and instead puts us all in the same group. As you noted you have a loud bike but you choose...
That's not what I was trying to say. I believe in having our freedom to ride what we like where and when also. But I also believe we have a responsibility or at the very least some common sense to not be selfish. If you want ride an extremely loud bike that serves no reason than hey look at me...
Well as much as I like the sound of my bike. Which is still factory. I also respect the environment I'm riding in and what is around me at the time.
The reason these new laws/by laws seem to be coming in is because of the select few that dont care about anyone else but themselves. For example I...
If you want more details you can look on the Durham Region projects map. Just zoom into the area, click the colored line and it will give you more info. E.g type of work , project limits and schedule. This map is good for all the Regional of Durham related projects.
I don't see the big deal here. If a place of business asks respectfully for me to take the helmet off. I don't see any reason not to. It takes all of one minute to take it off and back on. Don't see the issue here. Depending on the location , I actually feel better taking the helmet off even...
I'm not sure what difference it would make if you were sitting on the bike or beside it. The pump malfunctioned and it wouldn't have made a difference in this case. Unless he couldn't reach for the emergency stop button. I know when I pump while sitting on the bike I put my kick stand down in...
Thanks for the update. The section I was interested in is along Dufferin St. North of Sheppard up to Steeles. I hadn't noticed they added the motorcycle symbol on the bus..HOV lanes. I always found it odd that as soon as you pass Steeles. In York Region they allowed motorcycles. Now it's all...
