Thanks for finally answering that one.
About the only time I ever check the gauge is in real hot stop and go traffic. It's never over heated.
That said when I holed the rad in Caliboogie the gauge was quite helpful.
Some background:
I've been riding well over 40 years. Some of my best trips were 2up with the Squeeze on a 1200 GoldWing. (even scraped pegs at the Gap)
When my hips got bad the Wing had to go. I can still ride solo no problem but 2up rides don't last long before I'm feeling cramped and don't...
Mine reads in MPH and yes 75 on the clock is about the top AND you can hold it there all day.
That said the speedo is optimistic - be surprised if I'm actually doing 70.
I do have a "Travel Gravel" sticker but that's only good for more speed on gravel.
Sorry guys but did you not read my post? What more do you want.
The FACTS are nothing has changed with regards to the requirements only how it's documented. That's not chit chat or speculation.
The comments are priceless. My fav:
This tattoo is the equivalent of when a dude ensures you he is interested in pussy. You know that very "hello other straight ppl, I sure do love the feeling of sex with vaginas" kinda energy
When Gord Inglis of Inglis Cycle gave our CVMG section a tech talk he talked specifically about a "tidy tail" install. He called multiple people for clarification and was finally told if it's visible at 150 meters it's good.
Other than needing pictures and more documentation ABSOLUTLY NOTHING...
