Maybe a stupid question but if a CVMG member shows up w/o a bike is there a chance someone might offer up a chance to try one of the beginner loops? I've been interested in trials for a bit now but not sure how you starting dipping your toe in w/o just buying a bike.
I had been checking out part numbers at partzilla to try and figure out which rear caliper I had and which parts were interchangeable. So imagine my surprise when I'm at a thrift store with the Squeeze and see a bin with some Honda packages with numbers I recognize.
I spent $2 and bought two...
Squeeze and I were touring the Marine museum in Greenbay WI when we realized I'd lost the keys to the Wing. Retraced our steps thru the museum 2 or 3 times before finding the keys still stuck in the saddlebag lock.
Mistakes I'm not likely to make again:
I won't use a 1200 GoldWing to catch up with a guy on a Suzuki Bandit. At 160 it was weaving so bad neither I nor my buddy behind me thought I would get it slowed down in one piece.
If I'm working on a bike and decide to test something by snicking it into...
Yesterday roads were dry when I got ready but minutes from the house it started to spit. I kind of hoped for some real rain to try and wash Novembers mud of my bike and pants. Also maybe a good test for the newer gear.
Got my wish but after a 1/2 hour of rain only my pants looked better...
Realized Honda pulled the same tricks on their CB750s as they did with their Wings.
The rear calipers on the 82 and 83 are both dual piston and nearly identical. I mixed them up and the 83 caliper was sold off as parts. I now see where they are different.
Anyone got one they can spare???
