    Legacy license . . .

Just a random autistic factoid: The motorcycle 365-day learners was Class R. At the time, my parents would have used my guts for garters if I had even mentioned I wanted to ride.

Anyone else out still riding on the nice days?

Is there something I'm missing, or should I just not ask?

Biker films himself going 140 kph over the speed limit

If it's not an offence, then *you* don't have to worry about it. Good luck.

Biker films himself going 140 kph over the speed limit

    Riding Passenger + Wearing Backpack

No, you might be the only one who responded, though. OP, you wear the smaller backpack, and do some short testing to make sure your pillion is comfortable with the get up.

HAMILTON Riders - Weekly rides through the back roads!

Hey, Crackberry... I'm interested, but for me it would be a bi-weekly thing, as I work continental 12s.

Why I don't think fuel stabilizer on an EFI bike is necessary

I actually find it amusing that I haven't pulled the battery, and I've only "stored" it with a cover and Lucas fuel stabilizer. I'm taking it out tomorrow to charge up the battery and fill up the gas after the last time I took it out -- Dec. 4th. I'm not storing it simply because this is...

    who's still riding? (in toronto)

I have a set of snowmobile gloves as well. They're not as water-resistant as I was hoping for.

    Suzuki denies GSXR brake recall???!

Just because there's a recall in the US doesn't necessarily mean it's going to happen in Canada. Here are the recalls for the GSX-R600 in Canada: http://wwwapps.tc.gc.ca/Saf-Sec-Sur/7/VRDB-BDRV/search-recherche/results-resultats.aspx?lang=eng&mk=4781!2241&md=GSX-R600&fy=0&ty=9999&ft=&ls=0&sy=0

    who's still riding? (in toronto)

I'm in the same boat... while it sux when a brake line explodes, at least I was able to ride to work last weekend. Heat wasn't an issue, as I splurged on the bank's dime and got the Joe Rocket 12.0 jacket and 10.0 pants, along with a union suit. I learned a lot about riding in sub-optimal (to...

Stupidly overpriced motorcycle for sale thread

As we have debated before, how can it be mint with (admittedly) minor damage? Also, Honda were selling these for $2250 or so last year (as in, brand new). Edit: This is in reply to 1165 in this thread... forgot to quote

My first time highway riding experience

It's a lot of fun being on the highway, but I cannot type the first seventeen things that came into my mind with the second paragraph. Thanks for the humour.

    Up shifting question

I've gone through intersections shifting to second and to third on my Ninja 300. As long as you are smooth and are prepared to pull the clutch in on a millisecond's notice, you should be fine. If you're not so smooth because you're still learning the dance of shifting, then you should be okay...

    I Saw You: V.2.0

This. When I got my Hi-Viz jacket, I told the clerk I didn't care how [homosexual slur deleted] I looked, I wanted to be seen. Not one person over the age of 17 has made fun of me yet.

If you had 9 Days of Vacation, Where Would you Ride to? Starting location: Toronto

Might take a bit more time than nine days, but I wouldn't mind just following US 62 from Niagara Falls NY to El Paso TX.

    Mineral Springs Road wipe out

I get this from a few boards. I wouldn't buy a new SS, but my current bike was brand new. And I went whole hog on gear, which many people have commented on as the smartest thing I've ever done.

    Custom ear plugs

I work in a LOUD factory, and have custom earplugs made every year. My current ones are -24dB (left) and -26 dB (right). The fabricator has a setup where he can measure how much each actually attenuates sound, so that he doesn't get messed over should the Ministry of Labour check. Granted, I...
