    Mixing Oil brands

    Hey all, Question, based on what I've read its OK to mix brands of oil assuming that you maintain the type (semi or full synthetic) and weight (eg both are 10w-40). Would most agree with that? I don't know what brand the oil is in mine right now but want to top it off.
