If it's an R1250RT, there have been several production and delivery issues that have particularly upset US buyers who've been waiting a very long time. Canada has actually been better off although I understand there was a port strike at Montreal that might have threatened deliveries. The chip...
Are you sure? Haven't been by there in a while but I think it might be just west of Westney Road possibly Sideline 12 a bit north of Concession 9. Next time I'm in the area I'll check just to satisfy my memory.
I've made several purchases from Europe over the years. In each case the transaction has worked well. Shipping in every case was through DHL who seem to be the company of choice from there. Items arrived in about the same time as what it would have been coming from the US. I don't remember...
I just made the connection between the person I followed on this forum as johnscruiser and the Jamie I had the pleasure of interacting with many times in daily life. I am stunned.
He was one of those truly brilliant and unique people that you might come across in a lifetime. Both hardworking and...
Just to close the loop on this, I went to Maranello for service after booking well in advance and I'm a very satisfied customer. They were able to do the front brake caliper replacement recall as well as the normal 20k km service. Friendly and professional.
I had multi-focal lens replacements in both eyes about three years ago due to cataracts. I'm very pleased with the results as I no longer require glasses which to me is a great benefit for riding and helmet wearing. BUT personally, I would never have had it done if I hadn't needed cataract...
I just rented a unit from Access Storage. As part of the rental process you are asked to provide your ownership and insurance information. Overall it was a good experience and they have no problem with motorcycles.
Sorry. I've just realized that I've added to your confusion by being confused myself. I believe I had the "Comfort" term in my head from the 2012 GS I owned previously and I think it used that term. The 2019 RT uses MIN, AUTO and MAX for pre-load and uses ROAD, DYNA for damping. ROAD and MIN...
Not sure is your GS is the same, but my RT has a "Comfort" setting on the ESA that'll give you more ground reach, a nice cushy ride on your heated butt. That's if you decide to ride on pavement every once in a while of course.
I agree with this. On the major divided highways everyone's travelling in the same direction with no intersections to worry about where cagers can make left turns in front of you, or into you. Ride either ahead or behind vehicles in the adjacent lanes as much as you can.
There's been some talk on the RT and GS forums of the TFT screens being stolen/ripped off bikes in the UK. I just assumed it was vandalism but now I know they just want to watch Netflix.
While I've got some time on my hands, I'm working on a design concept for a Senior's GPS.
It will give you turn-by-turn directions to wherever you want to go.
Upon arrival at your destination, it'll tell you why you wanted to go there in the first place.
I think after a year and a half you're still in the "on vacation" stage. This too shall pass. At some point you'l find your real retirement routine and less anxiety and dare I say "guilt?"
I've been retired for almost 15 years now. My wife and I have a son 51 years old and three grandkids aged 19 to 25. Everyone will have unique answers in this thread as there are so many variables in life experiences, health, financial resources and appetite for risk. Over time, try to understand...
I can give you experience from my perspective of riding for nearly 60 years and up to 20,000 km on this RT on another thread or PM but to summarize, I couldn't be happier. It is the complete bike. Now back to my original question.......
