Law Enforcement - The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.....

Almost every time police pull guns it is a shining example of what not to do. Training is entirely inadequate. They ignore every rule of firearm safety every time they touch a gun and go straight into gangster mode mag dumping with no situational awareness.

Wow. That is way cheaper than I expected. I wouldn't even think about welding on a crank for that little. So many ways it can go wrong.

    Machine Shop

What's the problem with pressed cranks? Was yours showing any signs/symptoms of crank issues? Welding one while keeping it perfectly straight seems like it could cause more issues in the future than when left stock. Things like residual stress could cause it to bend in the future or crack at...

building a ramp for a shipping container?

If your cloaking system for your container happens to double as a 40' screen for superbowl, that would be a happy accident.

    License plate renewal check

If they transferred the ownership, your plates should be unattached. Parting out a car that you don't own on paper is a mine field. Even at the end when you take the remainder to the scrap yard, they want you to have ownership for the scrap. Tell MTO you bought a heap for $1, pay the $0.13 tax...

    Daily sports car?

Does the online pre-screen try to catch all the rules or just flags plates already issued? Can't you do something like five options each application to shorten the loop?

    License plate renewal check

Novelty plates aren't hard to find. IIRC, you didn't even need to go to china, you could buy them from etsy or amazon. I don't think there's a charge for making fake plates, just using them. Sell them as homage/novelty/show plates and the seller should be in the clear. Also parking tickets...

Chock the wheels and let the trailer tip. It makes loading easier and eliminates getting high centred on the edge of the trailer. It feels and looks scary but it is easier. Just go really slow as you approach the balance point so you don't slam down.

    License plate renewal check

If a ticket is contested, it shouldn't be a conviction and therefore shouldn't count as an unpaid fine. I expect 407 outstanding (even if false/lies) will screw you as allowing the government to be the enforcement arm of a private corporation that has no effective oversight was a terrible idea.

They aren't entirely clear on how this is applied (probably because it is monkeys throwing darts). This could have caused a problem with both of your choices. "interchangeable letters/numbers are not allowed (i.e. S/5, A/4, G/6, Q/O)"

If you back into a ditch you can end up with a ramp down into the bed. Truck may struggle to climb out again in a ditch that big though.

We Know you Ride, But do you Shoot?

Lots. There is a good chance that many guns in similar situations are not properly secured too as safes are heavy to move and gun furniture doesn't fit in most people's decor anymore. That leaves a dufflebag of guns (and likely ammo) in a lot of houses.

If you trust the floor, tip the bike onto the side stand and spin it around the foot. That doesn't solve your elevation issue but riding the bike forwards is a lot easier than backing it down.

The $200 phone linked is guaranteed one android version update. You can never win the argument that the extra longevity of an iPhone makes economic sense no matter how loud you bang the drum. If you like it, great but it costs more per year. The $200 phone every three years keeps you up to date...

The $200 android phones are not what you expect. They one Steve linked is pretty damned good. Not the best camera in the world but it's a decent brand new phone for $200. I think you haven't tried one in too long and have gross misconceptions. The $100 ones are pretty crap with 32GB, the $200...

The only devices I have had that became garbage due to lack of OS updates were Apple. He can pick up a decent new android for $200. What's the cheapest iPhone? $1000? Does it last five times as long? Does it do anything better? To each their own but imo apple can be better if you are all in on...
