Would love to pick up a 2nd bike if they really do drop down in price. The problem is then I'd have to pay double for insurance. There should be some way to reduce insurance if owning multiple bikes since I can't ride two bikes at once.
I bought the 40v ryobi mower last spring and used it all summer and it's been great. I can do my entire lawn on half the battery. The best thing about it is that it stores upright so it saves space. My only concern is if the battery dies a replacement 6ah 40v battery costs more than the mower...
I used to buy a new piece of gear at least once a year but for the past 2 years I've bought nothing as I have pretty much everything I need.
One thing I've been thinking of buying is a pair of waterproof gloves, I got waterproof gear that keeps the rest of me dry, but nothing for my hands. But...
This sounds like it will be an incredible trip. And stopping to do hikes each day in unfamiliar areas sounds lots of fun. I wish I could join you but I can't get that much time off work. :( Only a few more decades till I retire then I'll be doing these kinds of trips every year. :D
I guess, if you're gonna start at the east end of labrador, ride across labrador to the quebec border, then make a u-turn and ride back. But most people who do the ride do a loop and that involves riding the 389.
A few rides I've been meaning to do for a few years but never got around to yet:
-Up to Flin Flon SK, never been in that area yet. I'd like to go even further west but I don't think I can get enough time off work.
-Still haven't been up to james bay, can tour the power plant up there too
-Want...
I think this may have more to do with the charging network than the cars themselves. I was road tripping in the US during the thanksgiving long weekend (busiest travel weekend of the year) and only once had to wait to use a supercharger. The CCS chargers I saw were all always in use with many...
They used to be rebellious and cool 30+ yrs ago but now they're just conformist aren't they? I mean these days every other 50 year old office worker has them.
30 for me. I always wanted to ride, but while I lived with parents they never would have allowed it cause they viewed motorcycles as inherently dangerous. When I moved out on my own, during my 20s I lived in various sketchy apartment buildings in toronto so I didn't want to get a bike cause it...
I don't get it... unless you're commuting, which these guys clearly are not, what is the attraction to riding in a city? 99% of the mileage on my bike was made outside of city limits.
Probably mostly due to them jacking up the price. Tesla originally said the base model would start at 40k, yet as of today the cheapest version is 82k.
Look good and have a lot of what people want in an off-roader: body on frame, solid rear axle, 500 mile range with the range extender plus you can bring extra fuel with you.
I like the concept of a gas powered generator, they bridge the gap between PHEVs and full EVs.
