    Motorcycle dashcams

In my opinion the key to a good motorcycle camera is that it needs to be set it and forget it. You wire it into a switched power source on your bike and it automatically turns on when you start your bike, turns off when you stop the bike, and you never need to remember to do anything. I used to...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

Bad choice, even if you correctly predict that the market will crash, you can't predict how long the crash will be and when or how fast it will rebound. You will almost certainly be worse off than if you just stayed in the market. Here's a good story about "bob, the world's worst market timer"...

    Converting old video tapes?

Another way to do it is to use a usb tv tuner (one that supports NTSC) and hook up a VCR to it, then use video capture software to save it to your hard drive.

    Electric Lawn Mower?

The wheels on my 2 stage spin a lot in snow. I wonder if tire chains would help.

I'm worried about what's gonna happen when it starts melting, hope the sewers can handle it.

    Electric Lawn Mower?

Yeah I doubt I'd pay $150+ for one but I'm seeing a lot of them on the king of the north auction website and thinking of getting one if I can snag it for under $50. Example CORDLESS SNOW SHOVEL ADJUSTABLE FRON… | King of the North Auction

    Electric Lawn Mower?

Spray some car wax inside your snow blower, it'll help with sticky snow. Or even cooking spray. Btw what do you guys think of the battery powered snow shovels, are they worth it for when the snow isn't deep and you don't want to bust out the snow blower? I mean this...

    2025 Newfoundland

If you gonna be in nova scotia, I did highways 211 and 316 a couple summers ago, very twisty with almost no traffic (or anything else for that matter), but the pavement had lots of potholes. On cape breton island, I decided to try riding the east side of the island, there was a road called...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

So if a dealer is selling a car for $25,000 and you choose not to finance, he won't let you have it for the advertised price? That's crazy if true.

    Chromeburner is bankrupt

Don't you need to remove the visor to give it a good cleaning? At least that's what I do, it's hard to work a towel in there while it's attached. Another thing I find about this helmet, is since the vent on top is so big, I'll often get big bugs stuck in there and that's really annoying to...

You guys are getting ripped off, I got one of these for a dollar at dollarama and it cuts real good:

    Chromeburner is bankrupt

I got the Shoei GT Air 2 and honestly it's not worth the price. The visor removal mechanism is extremely awkward and clunky. The fit and finish is no better than my Bell and Scorpion both of which were a third of the price. I'm not saying it's a bad helmet, just that you can get something...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

LOL I admit I know nothing about them... I just like rooting for the under dog and I don't see many Mitsubishis on the road. But it does look like a lot of car for 48k just based on reading the webpage. I guess mitsubishi has to undercut the more popular brands on price in order to compete.

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

Why are you wanting to replace your GTI though? I had one, mine was a 2015. I only had it for like 2 years but during that time it was a great car and got good fuel economy too. Is yours giving you any trouble?

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

You can get a skewed perception of what people think from the internet. On twitter and reddit everyone is like "I'll never buy a tesla cause of elon" but in real life people don't care. I'm constantly seeing people on the internet freaking out about things that nobody I've ever met in real life...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

I guess it depends on what you need. I just checked rockauto.com for some random stuff like calipers and struts and and see many different aftermarket manufacturers offering parts. But there are probably certain parts that only Tesla can provide. Although I think that's true for most makes.

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

I think used ones are actually a good deal right now. I'm seeing 5 year old Model 3's going for low 20's. There is no engine so that eliminates most things that go wrong with a used car. Where did you hear that only tesla provides parts/service? Most of the non EV specific parts of the car can...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

What kind of a numpty buys a car based on what random strangers on the road will think of him? You buy whatever meets your needs the best. My Tesla (bought new in summer 2023) now has just over 45,000 kms on it and it hasn't given me any problems yet, and saved me a few thousand in gas and lack...

    Electric Lawn Mower?

The consensus from what I've been able to google is that cheap chinese batteries are crap. They start out fine but start to lose their capacity soon, and after a while you'd be better off if you'd just paid full price for a genuine battery.
