I suspect the average older rider rides as few km as the average younger rider. There will, of course, be outliers.
Equating mileage to anything is not a good measure. It is much safer/easier to ride many kilometers on the highway or empty back roads then to ride them on city streets. I...
You are correct. I did not see the time frame. Since they did not have a child together and lived together under 3 years there is probably no common law marriage. Not nearly as cut and dried as I had thought.
Cleveland's chances are totally dependent on how injured Thomas really is. Boston believes he is done. I tend to believe the same.
Boston should be the best team but it will depend on how well and how fast they can come together as a team.
If Toronto can jack up enough threes with...
I really liked Next Generation. I agree that Picard was the best captain by miles. If I was on a starship I'd want him for a captain.
DS9 went down hill when it all focused on the changelings. By the time the federation realized it was under attack they had lost. There was no realistic way...
You and I probably define "close call situations" differently... :) I'm rarely involved in any situation I deem dangerous. That said in my commutes I've crashed twice. Once totally my fault in following too close and then over braking in the rain. The other I was sideswiped by a driver...
Nope, just you.. :)
Riding in the city just provides a different environment to have fun. Been commuting into downtown Toronto by motorcycle for 20+ years. I find it nice to be able to spend a couple of hours a day enjoying my hobby whilst commuting... :)
Except that Sarek was very clear on stating that the Vulcan method of dealing with the Klingons might not work for the humans in this situation. It was not by any means a sure thing. To me, not very logical to mutiny over a chance of something good happening. And if she was so logical why did...
I could understand this if he had warped in before the battle had been started. He came in after an unprovoked attack. Against an enemy he knew had some sort of cloaking technology. Space fleet is still a military institution and it does not hold water that an Admiral would be this stupid... :)
I agree.
I find it hard to deal with a first officer committing mutiny in the first episode. Add in my personal abhorrence to space battle when all of the ships are within a click of each other you end up with premier that was pretty bad. And why oh why did the admiral pop into the middle...
For somebody who claims, "I am past that age where I have anything to prove to anyone", you certainly seem to feel the need to prove yourself in this post.... :)
Re: Well, this will help the motorcycle image in Toronto!
This is the problem. There is no real way to separate them and if charges with draconian penalties are applied nothing good is achieved.
I'm totally with you on the fact that so many people are completely oblivious to what is going...
Re: Well, this will help the motorcycle image in Toronto!
What a horrid idea. Penalized more for being successful. How very Finnish of you... :)
A careless driving charge is one of the last charges that should have massive penalties associated with it. It is very vague and completely open...
Although laced with sarcasm and a healthy dose of humor there is a bit of truth to what he says. Many a rider stops riding due to crashing. It is not quite as black and white as the post indicates, most things are not. Me, for example. I have crashed on the street and on the track. Never...
If you are behind a rider you know and trust then by all means ride staggered. If I encounter a rider I don't know I will never ride staggered as I don't know what they might do. I just treat them like a small car and ride appropriately.
I stopped doing track days when my son was born. Chance of getting hurt much greater then the street. At least for me. Others will disagree with me but it seems every time I crash on the track, no matter how trivial a lowside it is I end up hurt... :)
I too like to spend my weekends with the...
I completely agree that being prepared for a crash is a wise thing. But, I'm not sure how I could ever ride thinking I'm going to crash. I'd be scared stupid.. :) I've been doing this a long, long time and I never think about crashing when I'm riding. I have the same feelings when I hear...
Re: The sticker on the back of my GT750...
I remember that. Cash sale. It was if they were doing me a favor by selling me a bike. Always seemed like a place that did not really want your business...
Good to know the only reason to ride a sport bike is ego and the fact you are not a grown up. Thanks. I've been confused up until now. Should be "slinking" to a cruiser any day now....
