Although I haven't tested it yet, the 30K and I guess the 20S both have an 'ambient' button on them that uses an exterior mic to pick up sound and then play it over the speakers. In theory this should make it easier to hear things with a helmet on vs no comms unit at all.

This is what I do as well with the bike and car. Granted, if we end up really a really crappy fall sometimes it will sit the winter until I can change it in spring (since I can't change it where they stay parked).

Odd, I've used standard foamy earplugs for years with my Sena SMH10 (and RF-1100) and have zero issues at all. In fact, without the plugs, even at max volume I can barely hear things past 100km/h, but with plugs in, everything sounds the same from 20km/h up...I don't even need to run it at max...

Both the riding and pictures are far, far better the further you get from the city. Still haven't managed to get a shot with the Avro Arrow model they have mounted on a pole in Barry's Bay, but if summer actually comes this year, I'll probably try to make it out there at least once.
