well,,that is not correct... a battery won't melt or explode in this sitution.. as with any boosting, or charging procedure,, you ALWAYS put a larger source to a dead battery..that is what makes the current flow out of the larger source into the dead circuit,, and don't forget the parallel...

ah,, that is entirely wrong.... a larger wire size.. and a battery with more capacity will spin the starter faster.. and if the larger wire is connected to the right place.. there won't be a voltage drop at the CDI .. and the spark will be stronger. I try to clip on needle nose vise grips...
