    A petite rant

So, my 24 year old daughter received her renewal notice a few weeks ago... Premium jumped from $2700 to $3815. A $1115 increase... RBC insurance (Aviva) No apparent reason for it. No claims, no tickets. Needless to say... That's F***ing Bull*** so that policy isn't being renewed. She calls...

Motorcycle mistakes you only make once... and ones you make all the time...

I've lost count of the number of times I've left the key to my top box in the lock... Rode from Osoyuss to Medicine Hat with the thing back there... 'Good thing it's pretty secure once inserted into the lock

Buying a vehicle (non motorcycle) as is from private vs dealer

The used market is such a minefield. I'm at the point where the only "used" vehicle I'd consider buying would be a dealer demo and even then, it would have to be at a VERY attractive price, which they're usually not. I've looked at several used, I mean "pre-owned" F150s lately and with most of...

    Any Movement on Price

One thing that's struck me is... The price of an FJR1300 has remained unchanged since 2016. So, in effect it's price has fallen significantly.

What did you do in your garage today..?

Luckily I insulated my garage when I "finished" it... Even the roll up door is insulated. When it's cold out, what I'll do is go turn the heater on then go back into the house, have a coffee and suggest to Mrs. Gaoler we "go upstairs"... She rejects my proposal citing some BS reason like she...

    Home office

By "trades" I meant the actual trades people. Sure, all the office stuff can be done remotely, but the plumber with his work truck needs to go out into the world and get things done.
