    here we go again...

My first and second trip to BC I packed too much... I even had a rifle with me to use on an anticipated stop in Sask. for some gopher shootin'. Both trips I ended up paring down my luggage and mailing the excess home from BC.

Reminds me how lucky I am that my wife has no interest in motorcycling... :)

    here we go again...

Lol... We still talk about that day. WTF were we thinking we say... 'Should have stayed put in Cranbrook until the weather got better. Then again, you never know what's in store in the mountains. The previous trip along the same route I stopped at a rest area and when I came out of the washroom...

    here we go again...

2023 trip we left May 31. Riding conditions were pretty good... Except for our ride thru, up/over the mountains Cranbrook to Grand Forks. Ride through hell Lol... sleet, rain, snow 0°. I'm a bit of a sissy... I like the heat. 'First-time I rode out west it was in August. 40° on the wide open...

    Power of Attorney

I'm fortunate in that my family, immediate extended and circle of friends is free of drama. I'd have no trouble stepping up to POA oe exec. for any of them. Some families unfortunately do have difficult members

    Your last words...

It ain't random... The first time I noticed this phenomenon was several years ago 'sitting around the office talking with a co worker about tires. Motorcycle tires. Shortly afterwards I take my phone from my pocket and open up FB. My "feed" is full of ads for guess what... Motorcycle tires.

    Your last words...

'Heard a thought provoking question... On your deathbed... What would you want your last word(s) to be..? I can't decide between something poignant or something smart-assy...

    Power of Attorney

My wife dealt with this with her older sister... There may be differences case to case, but... If you're a rational person and take the advice of the doctor(s) involved... It's not that difficult. The choice was perma-coma with a feeding tube or cease intervention and let nature take its course...

    Power of Attorney

My father in law had a notebook with EVERYTHING written down. Names and addresses of all his holdings/investments., acct. numbers... Anything/everything we needed to deal with his estate. 'made thins very easy

    Power of Attorney

I found the "time" consuming part wasn't really me spending "my time" doing stuff, but rather just waiting for others to do stuff... Things like waiting for a bank or insurance company to process whatever... My MIL's estate was moderately complicated and it took a couple of years to completely...

    Power of Attorney

It's something family, especially should do for each other. NOT having POA in place is certainly more trouble than having it when the time comes it's needed. Being someone's executor can involve a bit of work, but unless the estate is super complex it's not really too bad. As executor there are...

We Know you Ride, But do you Shoot?

'Been that way a long time. I never got into shot shell loading... 'Not enough room on the bench for another press.🤪 On the other hand... I can't remember the last time I bought "factory" pistol/rifle ammo.

What is a KLR good for?

I have a Mony Python " 'Tis but a scratch " sticker on one of my FJR's panniers to draw attention away from a minor boo-boo

We Know you Ride, But do you Shoot?

I've had hit and miss QC with Challenger. They're okay in an O/U, but in my M2 or a pump...They have had a tendency jump or slip past the magazine retainer. Not always, but... enough to convince me to spend the $ on good ol' AAs. Hummisons is good... For me it's usually Lawrey's...

    here we go again...

Accommodations get hammered every summer/construction season especially in Ontario... One year 'seemed every bridge on 17 was undergoing some sort of rebuilding. 'Met a lot of 'flag girls in mosquito net.. Lol.

    here we go again...

'Not much to plan... I think the key is to not over think it. The main hiccup, the worst part... is getting the hell out of the GTA. Once North of Barrie... That's when the trip starts. It'll probably be the 400 to 17 then 17 west to 129N veering off towards Wawa... Spend the night in/near Wawa...
