I have a 2018 Mazda CX-5 which has around 102K on it. I got the rear brake set replaced at 70k last year. OEM. On the last service, I was told that the front brakes would need replacement next time. The time is due. The front pads and rotor are original parts; from when I bought the new car.

In addition to what others have mentioned:
I use the rear brake more than the front in slippery conditions. This is the inverse of what I do, in dry conditions.
And of course, it goes without saying - progressive braking, more delicately in wet conditions.
Another thing to watch out for is...
Finally back home. Rain was a close companion these 2 days. Plus, got ticketed for speeding in quebec 😕 I got excited as soon as the rain stopped on the 101 South going towards Temiskaming from Laniel. My first (hopefully last) in Canada

Messed with my head; dry mouth; sore throat. But it took the pain away.
After the gall bladder removal, problem solved.
Southwood 13 is in the best shape I have seen it, in the past 4 years. Thoroughly enjoyable!
Also, a first for me. A black bear crossed the road ahead of me. It was surprising because this was on the White Fls road, not too far from the 400!
Such beautiful pics topped up with eloquent storytelling. Have always been a fan of your narration. Thanks for sharing your adventure!
Highway 20 to Bella Coola reminds me of another road back home which was terrific and terrifying at the same time - gravel, without guard rails and also on the...
