The shareholder is a terrible master to please. Always more never content must return % each quarter despite product suffering or work conditions suffering or even long term health of the company. Its about profit and there is never enough.
It doesn't give me much hope for some of the male species who's first thoughts are about the creepy, pervy and illegal things they want to do if allowed near a showering female.
Stepping into someones personal shower stall will be an invasion of privacy and punishable as such. These won't be the group shower rooms of old highschool gym class. I've been to universities that have had co-ed washrooms and it was no big deal. The local pool has family style changerooms and...
I can sort of stomach suspension with pay due to presumption of innocence (even though most people would lose their jobs if charged with murder) and that it was put in place to avoid hardships from frivolous accusations and charges.
Forcillo has been found guilty he shouldn't get a dime. He is...
This is my favourite line from the article
"Before the storm even hit, Philadelphia police used a spoof of Drake’s “Hotline Bling” to urge residents to report any illegal cones or trash cans blocking parking spaces. They dubbed it #NoSavesies."
I absolutely hate when police mess with evidence to 'make a case' on someone which ends up letting a bad person free. This drug dealer wasn't a good person and the lazy police work allowed him to go free rather than doing things by proper means. No doubt if they kept surveilling the guy he...
Re: James Forcillo guilty of attempted murder!!!
I can read between the lines of what Chris Lewis wrote and can tell that he is trying his hardest to stay 'professional' to his police colleagues but in his heart he know Forcillo shouldn't have a badge.
What I wonder is how many people knew...
Or police training will be adjusted to never pause until the mag is empty. ;) Based on the verdict it was the pause that did him in.
I'm cynical of the greater impact here but I agree its great news one trigger happy police officer is off the streets.
It seems pretty clear the Jury didn't want to set a precedence convicting an officer of murder.
So Forcillo is guilty of attempting to murder someone he ended up killing. huh? Or are they implying the Yatim was dead before the 2nd volley and because Forcillo thought he was still alive it was...
What scares me about TPS with AR's is that in a tight urban areas any misses will carry a lot further than a handgun or shotgun. Makes sense in larger rural areas but personally in the conditions the average TPS officer would be in a different gun might be a better choice. It's not like these...
I don't understand how you can clearly lie on the stand and get away with it. I mean this is provable. Its bad enough that the other officers are saying different things then their incident notes at the time of the event but this clown told a clear outright lie to the courts.
Very true. Of the part I did read about the case they were talking about how in police training they are taught that there is no such thing as a safe distance from a knife which is completely false and doesn't pass any sort of common sense test.
I guess only basic security guards can...
The way the lawyers had been pushing off dates in order to get through disclosure made it seem like they were planning or looking for a defence which is why I was asking the question.
I can't see how anyone will believe Yatim was a threat to Forcillo at the moment he was shot. Even less so for the 2nd round of bullets. Its on camera. Everyone can see what the threat was and the lack of a sense of threat by the other officers.
I'm curious as to what his defence will be. Its pretty well established he was hammered behind the wheel and caused this accident despite having the means to get from the airport in many safer ways. I just can't see an angle here other than mercy of the court or maybe I'm missing something.
The general was a general just in the wrong place at the wrong time and too old and feeble to do much about it. I think Sam Jackson made it all up with the bits he knew and overheard. With the one guy being the new sheriff its only legal to kill a man in self defence so he needed to make the...
I saw the 70mm projection and it was great. I appreciated the field of view afforded by the 70mm film. It gave it an interesting look.
Its a film people will either like or hate with little middle ground.
