for the amount of time that it has been sitting, if you are prepared to do some work on it, go for it. If you are new and want to ride a bike and not deal with hassles fixing, and discovering problems then maybe look somewhere else. I have about 4yrs of riding and I would not mind a fixer bike...

Pretty much what ATTS said above!. The trick is to have someone who is running put you down as a guest. It depends on the track. For Mosports, I told the guy I was coming to see my friend and take pictures (no name mentioned), he just gave me the guest form to sign and put my name and in I went...
