    Christmas Gift Ideas 2024 Addition

Mine wouldn’t be happy. She wants a Mustang Dark Horse. I’d look at doing an excursion together (something up your alley whatever that may be).

What did you do in your garage today..?

There was a bag of large Lego blocks in a bag left in the kids playhouse and mice made a nest in it and ate chunks of the Lego. The cat was with me when we found it and he had fun with the two mice inside. Our cat will chase/kill anything. He’s chased a dozen wild turkeys off the lawn multiple...

What did you do in your garage today..?

Depending on where you're located you may consider Joe Skidd at SSS. He's in Frankford and has done a couple bikes for me and has been excellent. I've been to Accelerated as well and John's great also. https://www.superiorsettings.com/ On recommendation from a member here I put 5 snap-traps in...

    More trouble in snowmobile land

Considering taking a break until we have more time available. The 90's sleds were chasing that lake record with very few being made/marketed towards the trail rider (the MXZ imo being one of the first to start being designed for the trial rider that isn't on super smooth trails). Very few sleds...

    More trouble in snowmobile land

There's some decent people on the FB group SLEDJIJI if you put up a WTB you might get a couple good leads.

    More trouble in snowmobile land

Nothing will sound as good as a triple but they also drink fuel like crazy and a decent twin of the same size will kill them now. Power valves and clutching have greatly improved. I have a pair of Polaris available if interested pm me.

    More trouble in snowmobile land

The modern sleds that look uncomfortable are so much more comfortable and forgiving than anything 2002 and older. Old sleds put you on your tailbone and with ~3-4” of suspension travel every bump gets put through your back. New sleds put you forward, on the rotating axis of the sled so you can...

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

Ours stains easily so it was worth a shot. Ceramic tile I think.

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

Sealed all the quartz countertops in the house. Anyone sealing kitchen backsplashes as well? I’m worried they might darken a bit if I do.

    Make a difference this Christmas

At Christmas we speak to the workers at the local retirement home and get a list of a dozen or so people who don't have family visiting or taking care of them and then do a big shop at Walmart/etc filling up the van with items the workers feel would make them happy.

What is your opinion on Tattoos?

I’m on my first marriage and that was a great decision on my part. The barbed wire arm-band and tribal tattoo on my lower back not so much (the dolphin on my ankle is a keeper though).

Are you a "Save every penny for retirement" or "Live life now" type person?

Make sure your dependants/spouse are taken care of if something happens to you and don’t spend yourself into an area where you can’t retire at a decent age. Have fun with what’s left over. My wife and I like nice things. Both of our parents are/were horrible with money. I’ve learned to be...

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

No water/ice dispenser either which we use a lot. Looks pretty similar to our Fridgidaire Professional one we bought in ‘20 iirc was in the $3-4000 range.

    Perfect bike:-Next best thing???

Grass is always greener scenario. Sometimes the grass is actually greener elsewhere, sometimes not. If you take a hard look at your riding needs and buy accordingly you're less likely to have a better choice to fawn over.

At what age did you start riding?

Mom bought me a mint YZ50 for $275 when I was 4yrs old against my fathers wishes. Bought my eldest kiddo a new 50 when they were 2yrs old to return the favour.

    Pickup Trucks

The cabin is smaller, less comfortable, and overall less refined. Bed is a tad shorter at 5’ but only by half a foot or so. Not as nice on the highway. You gain the Jeep features of taking the top/doors off of that’s your thing. Personally I’d rather have quiet, comfy, refined.

We Know you Ride, But do you Shoot?

I'm pretty sure Ukraine doesn't want our 22cal GSG16 plinkers.

    TV shows currently watching

1 episode left for Madness. It's ok but not great. We could have moved on after a few episodes but now just want the closure of seeing how it ends.

We Know you Ride, But do you Shoot?

Another 324 guns added to the banned list yesterday: https://nationalpost.com/news/politics/liberal-gun-ban-expands And apparently they're sending them to Ukraine....
