    New BMW R1300RT

https://www.motorcyclenews.com/news/new-bikes/2025/april/bmw-r1300rt/ Lots of tech and lots of ugly. Each manufacturer appears to follow the same concepts of packing more and more tech and nannies into their bikes and making them hideous at the same time. The organic riding experience is...

    Anyone into gardening here?

I planted a Magnolia tree today and did a half acre of grass seed with a couple yards of triple mix on the problem areas. Will do another acre of seed and triple on Wednesday.

    Dealers and Trust

I can say with experience that Whitby Hyundai has the pushy service advisors who say your car needs a fuel system treatment and brake service every year plus lots of everything else. I feel bad for the people that just say do whatever it needs especially the older folks on pensions.

#$%@ GP Bikes just made my life harder

I had a Polaris sled with a dry sump 4T engine. Oil changes were so easy, just syphon out the oil from the box and refill with new oil, pull a oil line and crank over the sled and it'll pump out the rest of the old oil in seconds then just top off the box. It was a 5min procedure.

#$%@ GP Bikes just made my life harder

There’s one similar on Amazon that’s popular with the F150 crowd. I was going to buy one but with only doing oil changes annually I just get the dealer to do it.

    Pickup Trucks

For that model, and on a car you're going to drive, for sure. Sometimes it works out but you've got to be selective (C7 ZR1 knowing it's a one year and final year as well as any Ford GT40 those guys have all worked out nicely).

    Pickup Trucks

True but every dealer was adding $20k+ surcharge on their allotment so everyone who got one was paying over $100k and had a 1+ year wait time. That's why every used one you see now is still the cost of a new one because the sellers are so underwater on them. Now you could negotiate a new one on...

    The $80,000 Honda?

Definitely priced for the good ol days crowd and everyone reliving their youth. I've owned both and I agree I'm faster on the 450 but in terms of smiles per mile the 500 wins. Prices on these classic 2T's are high but as the nostalgia crowd grow older the prices will fall.

    TV shows currently watching

My wife watches this. I've seen an episode and it's pretty soapy. Just finished up 1883 and it was ok.

    More trouble in snowmobile land

I feel this is the best thing that could have happened to AC given their position. I don't see a good picture for North American snowmobile sales but they'll likely focus more on the SXS/ATV/UTV sales.

The Reasonably Priced Used Motorcycles for Sale Thread

I went the opposite way. I had two and sold the smaller one. Sure it'll use more gas when I haul the larger one but it's one less thing to store (I like to keep mine inside) and one less thing to do maintenance on.

What did you do in your garage today..?

Coolant change on the 300. It looked ok but had some crystals on the bottom of the cap this Spring and was definitely due (original 2018 coolant). Also confirmed the original battery is pooched but found the oem Skyrich one is currently on sale at Royal for $98 so ordered one.

That looks like a perfect ride.

    TV shows currently watching

Yes. Oh look here they come......there they go.....here they come....there they go (I can think of a lot better things to do than watch cars go around in a circle for 3-4hrs).

Man scammed by a fake certified cheque, lost polaris slingshot

My wife said the same thing yesterday. She's been selling off some wardrobe the past few months and commented about the amount of people that show up and give the "I'm here" message then sit there. I've been purging house items as well and had a couple dozen sales this past winter and about half...

What did you do in your garage today..?

Any tips on changing fluid in a hydro clutch (KTM 300XC)? This will be my first time doing so. Manual says to reverse-fill using a syringe so I bought one and will give it a shot. It just says to slowly push oil through and watch for any bubbles to disappear in the master. I do have a vacuum...

What is your Budget for a Bargain Find?

Agreed. It's not a bargain price if no one else wants it. If it's well-under market price and is a desirable machine then it's worth striking on.

Who's still riding? (Fall & Winter 2024 Edition)

Got my fill of ~400km of twisties yesterday. Most of the roads are clean. Secondary roads are pretty soft and pretty much anything with no winter maintenance isn’t passable yet. This was an easy road in nice shape but after slugging 20min down the southern unmaintained portion of Old Hastings Rd...

What did you do in your garage today..?

I would normally get the biggest one I could find as well but when I bought my new Stihl a couple years ago I bought the correct saw for the job and my future. I'm plenty strong now but I still don't need a huge heavy saw for medium work nor will I like that saw in 20yrs when I'm that much...
