I call that feature auto-mistake, because it's wrong far more than it's correct.

H2 doesn't have an intercooler, either, and the boost pressure (at higher revs) is up there. The advantage of driving it electrically is that the supercharger's boost pressure (and parasitic drag) aren't locked to engine revs. That electric motor would have to be pretty strong, though...
