I use to train muay thai concurrently with a fairly intense weight training routine. Recovery becomes a huge issue after you're past the beginner phase...especially if you have a job. I miss the martial arts but I've since given it up to focus on pure weight training with a bodybuilder style...

I love my subaru. It's not easy on gas, and the maintenance is a little more expensive than typical japanese....but you may be able to remedy that by not getting a WRX. :p Good bang for your buck if you buy used.
