Signal or WhatsApp are data based messaging apps that are good too. They use very little data and have easy to use broadcast features.

There's no easy/simple solution that I'm aware. Photosynch gets mentioned a lot, also some synology nas apps but nothing I've found really.
I do periodic downloads from google photos to my local Nas, but it's not automated.

So long as it's at least a class 10, sure. You want good read and write speeds to keep up with the camera and video features on the new phone.

Not really. The mobile switch makes it a bit faster. Otherwise you're just waiting for the phone to do all the downloads and updates.

The LG G4 has a built in app called Mobile Switch. It will transition all of your settings and such from your old android device. If you want to start fresh, just sign in to the new phone and Google play store will do the rest.

Yeah ours has 3 settings and a couple modes. It even has a built in meat thermometer so you can have it cook by temp. Really handy. We use it weekly almost.
