Done properly, they can work well. Proper screw piles measure torque during install. There is a known relationship between torque and bearing capacity. Talk to the structural engineer that has to sign off and local building department to see how they feel. Ultimately, what they accept matters...

No trucks should be in the left lane. If 99 is their top speed, hwy 2 is the place for them.

    Riding an e-scooter in Toronto?

Selling them is legal. Since the dawn of ebikes, stores have been grossly misrepresenting what is legal as they have no liability. Most are now selling lsv's (which require license and insurance) as enclosed mobility scooters. That's a load of crap but again, no liability. Every sale generates...

The Bad Drivers of Ontario Thread

Hopefully the cops pull over this rat *&^& and give them every ticket they are eligible for. What a crap person and they're proud of it. They need an attitude adjustment. If they were in the right lane, I've have no issue. Based on their driving style, they should never leave the right lane...

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

Fred likes to dig up rocks and collect them. Up to ~3", he has no problem carrying around. His deepest hole so far is ~2'. Apparently the good rocks are deeper. Makes it annoying to mow the lawn as I need to inspect for landmines (both squishy and rocks) prior to cutting. Thankfully, he keeps...

    Riding an e-scooter in Toronto?

Here is someone that hit a pedestrian in vaughan in 2024 while they were on an escooter. They just received a 200k lawsuit and are understandably freaking out. No insurance so even if they win, they lose. https://www.reddit.com/r/legaladvicecanada/s/JbqjAeqY3y

Site performance is quite poor today

On the flipside, loading the full-ad version probably generated more money for CK in 10 seconds than the ad-blocked version does in a week.

    Riding an e-scooter in Toronto?

A sale ad in barrie that checks all of the stupidity boxes (too much power, too much speed, seat, suspended license). Escooters are legally not allowed in barrie but as with most places, almost zero enforcement. EDIT: He also wants more for his used one than Temu wants for a new one ($819)

What did you do in your garage today..?

I broke a hydraulic fitting on a tractor and puked its guts out? Does that count? Hard parts will only be a couple bucks. Fluid will Sadly be $500 or more.

Oi. What a buzzword pile of crap. I'm glad the swings are working for you. Holding it long-term seems like a loser. "The company operates green energy-powered data centres focusing on both cryptocurrency mining and high-performance AI cloud computing infrastructure"

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

In his case, if you replace the same amount you extract, ypu are in a better position than you started even if you have no idea about proper fill level. You are at the same level but have at least some fresh fluid mixed in.

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

I like the Franklin Prosensors (the horizontal ones with a dozen or more led's not the vertical ones that look like typical studfinders). They give you a nice visual representation, are durable and don't cost too much.

I've done HD cabinets but not ikea cabs. No issues. For cabinets I like French cleats (either wood or metal). Separates the brain work from the muscle work and makes it easy to do solo.
