How are you guys squirting grease ??

I have a mini grease gun and filling it is nightmare. What works well and isn't a painful mess?
 
I use one of these, this clip should give a idea on how to simply load one.
As a side note i cut the top off of one of those rectangular 1l oil bottles so i can store it upside down so it stays primed, doesn't leak and make a mess and is more stable and doesn't fall over.
They can be found cheap on ali.
 
My girl grew up on a farm. I just ask her. Not even embarrassed to say it. She's the lube tube pro.
 
A dollar store cake frosting squeeze bag, or a large syringe would probably work to fill your existing mini grease gun in a less messy way. You might have to cut the nozzle off the syringe to make an opening wide enough to deal with the viscosity of the grease. Dispose of the frosting bag or syringe in a big ziplock when you're done.
 
Try and screw a a greasezerk into your mini and fill with a regular grease gun?

This is the kind of fiddle farking of wasting some grease and getting other items messed up that I'm trying to avoid.
 
I have the regular size gun and the mini as well. I don't think there is an easy and non messy way to change cartridges on these things. I usually use a pair of disposable gloves when doing this. If my hands are already filthy I skip the gloves and use a rag to clean off the excess grease.

Do you use grease cartridges?

Pull rod back and lock it. Pull the cap off cartridge load gun. Pull tab and peel back tab. Screw on top and release rod push in and go to work greasing whatever you need
 
OK so I need a full size gun and cartridges and then I can toss the mini mess maker.
 
Canadian Tire has cartridges for your mini gun that will work.no mess either you just stick them in. Same as the big gun

They video I posted is showing how to refill a mini with a mini (3oz / 85g) cartridge, so you don't need to buy a full-sized gun. Or do you have the smaller one with the big button you press with your thunb (like the one in the first video) - that's not technically called a mini even though everyone does, and you've got no choice but to use a knife/spatula/finger to fill.
 
Mine is like the one in the video ( I only see one video). W/o the locking rod it's fiddle facking like he does in the video trying to hold the rod out while slipping in the cartridge. I want something that doesn't require three hands.
