Weathers warming up

It's so F'ing annoying, and the city keeps claiming they are removing snow, but I haven't seen it.
I've had to shovel 2 feet out into the street just to make sure my drive is clear without build up.
dumb*ss's
Slight apex in front of my driveway gets me an additional 4 to 8 feet depending on the operator.

If someone street parks the plow swerves around them and the cleared zone is eight feet from the curb. Then people park three feet away from the bank. (The law says no more than twelve inches)

Saw some guys ripping around on supermotos near my office last weekend, i've seen riders all year round this year, even on those crazy -20 days.

Yeah, I’m definitely taking the bike for a ride out this weekend.
I just need to get rid of the iceberg-sized ice buildup between the end of the alleyway and the street first.

On that note, I recently learned there’s such a thing as an ice chopper/scraper, which should hopefully help me deal with it. Pray for my back.

If someone was parked there, I would understand. There is a hydrant on my front lawn so no one ever parks there. Simply depends on the operator.

I brought my sled back from my buddies place next to the trails. Winter's done.

Trail map is mostly red out here OFSC Public

I’m heading north this weekend… we are all green, I’d expect I have at least 4 more weeks in the bush. Northern Ontario had a banner year for snow, still places where you can sink a mountain sled.

It's weird that the roads seem grimmier than it was when I went for a ride on Lunar new year...looks like I'll have to wash the bike again after this.

10° at the trap range today... No wind.
Beautiful.

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention and for your commitment to road safety. We greatly appreciate the time and effort you took to provide us in terms of the pothole on the highway 403.
Our team has reviewed the location, and to date, we have I believe filled the pothole. Nevertheless, we recognize the importance of addressing surface irregularities to maintain the highest safety standards for all motorists.
Due to the current winter season and less-than-favorable temperatures, we are unable to undertake permanent repairs currently. Performing temporary work under these conditions could compromise the integrity of the pavement and, in some cases, worsen the issue rather than improve it.
Please be assured that this section of Highway 403 is scheduled for a full resurfacing project during the upcoming construction season. This comprehensive work will address all deficiencies within the area, including the joint you have identified.
We sincerely appreciate your vigilance and concern for public safety. Should you have any further questions or wish to discuss this matter in more detail, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Best regards,

I got behind one of Toronto's pothole patching trucks while in the car. Do they make a mess, it was like they were salting the road with asphalt pellets, the stuff was going everywhere. The tray at the back of the truck still had material in it. Doesn't seem right at all.

Got behind a pair on a busy single lane each way 80 kph highway. Trucks had no signage and just stopped suddenly, in the far left edge of the lane, on a blind corner. They'd been traveling at 40 in the 80 beforehand. Took me a while to figure out what they were doing. Guy in the front truck had hopped out and was doing a patch while the back truck was protecting him. I would have appreciated it if they had been slightly right of the centre of the lane, and had a sign on the rear truck stating their purpose.

The mess that you're seeing seems to be the new improved way of not using salt on the roads, instead they use tiny gravel pellets that inbed in the snow and ice to give cars/trucks some traction. Going to be "fun" going around corners at speed on the bike until the rain and street sweepers get rid of that stuff. I'm not sure that they've thought things through for motorcycles.
