F@ck Uber and the car they rode in on

There must be money in it in some markets..
'Few years ago I was in Vancouver visiting my oldest when she was at UBC...
During the week or so we where there we used Uber Eats 2x.
First delivery the guy was driving a McClaren, second delivery the guy was driving a Lamborghini or a Ferrari...
Well lots of condo people don't have cars.
But you'd think condo's would be surrounded by places to eat. 🤷‍♂️
And there is this culture of app's and digital lifestyle being convenient.

They call the UBC (University of British Columbia) the University of Beautiful Cars.

Yep...
You see a lot of fancy cars in Vancouver.
The house across the street from my sister's place... two Lamborghinis and a Ferrari in the driveway.
Her next door neibour parks his Lotus(?) on the street routinely...

Anyone old enough to remember going to McDs and being handed the food right after you paid for it. Now it's order/pay and then go stand in another line.

Stand in line for 15 minutes for a coffee and muffin? I use the drive thru because it gets priority.

Not only is the system bad, some people waiting for their food step outside to cell yap while the server is calling their number. Then they whine about cold food.

Or... don't.
If youre not afraid of food tampering just stay there you are.
I've done this at the drive thru a few times.
When they ask you pull ahead or go park..
"No, that's okay I'll wait here".

You see.. they're trying to keep up with the made up volume of traffic goal head office sets. The time it takes to get cars through the dive thru.
I don't work for Tim's or Micky D's so IDGAF about their metrics.

My best friend says his girlfriend struggles to have any money left at the end of the month. He also says sometimes she gets hungry for a snack at 10 or 11 at night and has no problem paying $35 for a quart of icecream and a box of cookies to be delivered to her door from one of these companies....
I work with a bunch of 20 somethings and they are always complaining about money, however, 3-4 times per week they're ordering from Uber eats and paying a boat load for food deliver...$60 for Thai the other day...absolute craziness!

So true. There is a restaurant by us and twice a day everyday the younger employees go grab breakfast then lunch. I'd say the spend between 20-40 bucks a day on food.
I used to grab a coffee but once it turned into a habit I started bringing a thermos to work and save the 4-6 bucks week.

I hope your best friend isn't thinking of marrying the chick. I knew a very pleasant lady that got dumped by her hubby "Honey, I love you but can't afford you"

The last food delivery I had was at A&W and it was delivered hot on a tray to my car door window.
The short skirt and rollerscates was a bonus but would now be considered politicaly incorrect!

The Squeeze and I watch "Till debt do us part" and are amazed at how many people cannot do basic math. Usually they're able to right the ship once she cuts up the credit and debit cards.

A friend bailed out his son and D-I-L under the condition they stop buying stuff.

The next time he went to see them they had a new stereo. "We leased it" :(
