I’m thinking of a July trip around Balsam Lake area. Initially July 3-5. Base camp at Balsam Lake Provincial Park. Riding up Friday. Do some riding Saturday and return to camp or find a place to eat and drink before heading back to camp.
Pack up Sunday and head home.
I’ve got a riding buddy from Oakville that I’m meeting up with on the Friday and taking some back roads. He’s on a toaster tank R series with cafe style bars and 4 spd tranny. He can do highways but prefers not to. I’ll leave from the Niagara region on the Bonnie Friday morning.
Yes, it’s high season, middle of the summer with traffic and hot as hell and and and…..don’t care. Likely have a cigars, cognac, laughs and lies. Complain about the heat, traffic and arses that can’t drive or ride. I don’t smoke and likely bring whisky but, buddy likes his cigars and cognac. I’ll take him up on a swig on one and not the other.
Still spit balling it. Dates could change but, will be in July. June doesn’t work and later in the summer, fall will be a trip to Atlantic Canada but, that one involves wives and I’m not planning that one.
Saturday run will likely involve a tour of the 507 and other places.
Not looking to break records or hold up traffic. Just take in the ride and not scare anyone.
