But I was on the roof with a parachute I made out of 20 lb. test and an old sheet, and I did jump.

When I was a kid in Scarborough in the 70's everyone had a TV antenna going up the side of their house. As kids those were ladders and we spent lots of time on peoples roofs.

Didn't he call himself The Bouncing Czech and wasn't there a motorcycle connection? Yes, I suppose I COULD look it up.
He attached a hang glider to a Honda and rode it off the Hamilton "mountain". Hospital.
He also used to ride his little moped from Hamilton to Arthur with all his skydive gear on.
 
The water tower in Richmond Hill.

Back in the day roof hopping in NE Hamilton was a thing. Did not know of anyone falling but came close a couple of times. not sure what i was more afraid of - falling or getting caught by an angry Tiger Cat fan
