Keeping this out of the fallen riders thread.

There is a Facebook thread in the GTA riders group.

The poster, was there with the rider when he passed. She was not part of the group, just stopped to help.

None.... none of his rider group turned back.

There are people defending not gong back for a fallen rider in your group as it could result in charges..... WTF?

I hate this city sometimes.

This has happened before to someone i knew.

Guy was riding with a bunch who were riding dirty (no plates and or insurance), he got clipped by an 18 wheeler. I'll save you the details, but he died from the impact. The dirty guys he was riding with came back and took his wallet and his go pro and left him to die alone.

Scum.

I saw that post. The whole thing is so sad. That FB group is so toxic and this one just reiterates i don't belong in that group.

I might sound a bit corny, but I’m genuinely glad GTAM is still around—with all 17 of us active members! 😅 (/s)

Seriously though, it’s great to be part of a community where you can find knowledge, camaraderie, respect, and support—just to name a few.

The level of immaturity in that group is through the roof.

Every post has my eyes rolling all the way to the back of my head.
I’ve had a guy threaten to kick my ass because I called him out on insurance fraud.

I couldn’t stop laughing, but it’s ridiculous how idiotic some of the posts and comments are.

Even about that fallen rider the amount of people blaming the F150 for the accident was off the charts in some posts.

Social media is a cancer (except for GTAM) and should be cleared.

A day later the sour cream is rising to the top. Turns out dead guy got his clapped out uninsured/unregistered Gixxer 600 impounded last week so he bought a clapped out R1 w. bald tires to continue riding uninsured/unregistered. And the two guys who were riding with him (99.∞% likely riding unregistered/uninsured) that fled the scene? One of them was his younger brother. Life is cheap in some parts of the world.

I hate this city sometimes.

I see it every weekday morning at the crest of the hill dropping into Milton on Steeles. Looks fine to me.

Can't fix stupid, but karma catches up to it quite often.

The number of idiots on motorcycles I've seen this year is staggering. I should pull some footage off my dashcam from a guy on a crotchrocket who almost ate the back end of a SUV on the 401 a few days ago. Typical squid, doing about 200 weaving through traffic, no gear, no (or severely tucked) plate, all the usual signs.

I got into a debate in a FB group a few days ago, someone was posting about the rider that was killed on the 401 out in my area a few weeks ago, someone commented to the effect that "these guys screw all the rest of us on our own insurance rates when we have to pay for their stupidity" and some other clueless dolt responded that "these guys don't effect your insurance at all, stop being a goof". I guess they think that the "uninsured motorist" line item on every actually insured riders policies is free, and that when one of these meat-rockets meets their end that all of the collateral damage to other peoples vehicles, the emergency responders time, and clean up is all free somehow.

Yeah, can't fix stupid.

I struggle with not discussing these sorts of things in the fallen riders forum as there's just been a staggering increase in utter and complete stupidity on our roads and this sort of thing needs to be discussed no matter the outcome. I get being respectful when a rider dies through no fault of their own, but increasingly, these deaths are entirely the fault of the riders themselves.

They're not sharp enough to get the underlying meaning of it when someone refers to them as a statistic somewhere there's an actuary that uses those statistics to calculate the insurance rates for those of us that do ride with our T's dotted and our I's crossed.

I was reading about a 19 year old woman in Phoenix AZ, riding an R7 I believe, couple weeks ago. For whatever reason she hit the wall on a ramp and went over it and fell 80 feet to her death. And some dirtbag(s) stole her bike from the scene before first responders arrived. May they burn in Hell.

I remember reading some stats. outta` the States a few years ago. About half of motorcycle crashes with no other vehicle in the mix, were alcohol involved. Now add weed into the numbers, with many people thinking it has little effect on driving/riding, numbers are likely overall more substantial.

Even on hot days like today, i find people lose focus on the things around them. it'd like the heat frys the mind and attention goes out the window

Her name was Annabel Force, died on June 8th. Because the bike was stolen there was no crash scene, her parents were looking for her and she was located from her phone in her jacket. It`s figured that 90 minutes passed before she was located and the questions arise if she could have been saved if found in time, died of blunt force trauma. Still no sign of her `22 YZF R7 or who took it or why she lost control of the bike. What a crazy thing to happen.

It’s a crappy situation to be sure. But part of me wonders if the guy who died wouldn’t have done exactly the same thing if one his “buddies” were in the same situation.

He was legal, he had no reason to split. But I guess we'll never know.
