2025 GTA Photo Tag!

Have always gone to the mexican resto a block or two north. Time to gear up and try this one. Thnx @TheNightOwl.
Darn that mural of Quetzalcoatl looks really nice.

I forgot to ask about the resto you mentioned out in your woods.
Mariachi's Restaurant is the place where the tacos al pastor taste just like the ones you'd find in Mexico City. I would also recommend to order a paloma cocktail (tequila with grapefruit soda), as they prepare it the "right" way. So many places in here change the grape fruit soda for grape fruit extract and some sparkling water 🤢

There’s also a pub called The Wren. While it’s not a Mexican restaurant — maybe more of a fusion spot — it serves some amazing carnitas. The dish is called “Pork Carnitas and Pozole Verde.” The name might be misleading if you're expecting traditional pozole (a stew), since here it's more like a runny salsa. Still, I found the flavor to be authentic, and for me the spiciness was on point. I can't speak for the other dishes, but the carnitas were REALLY good.

I also have recommendations for a few lesser-known spots that serve food out of private homes. They have tables and chairs set up, so you can eat there. It’s a more raw, authentic experience — the flavor is absolutely on point — but definitely better suited for the more adventurous.

Now everyone stay the heck away, imma go freeze out there for all yall
