You're correct it is mentioned in the manual but the manual is in the box so you don't read it until after the purchase and the reason (magnetic effects on pacemakers/defibrillators) is not mentioned in the manual. Here's the scenario:It's mentioned in the manual (along with other warnings such as breast implants) but I never checked the actual vest.
